I'm not proud to admit that I'm stressed. I mean, I know we all are, we live in crazy times and busy lives. But I yearn to be a peaceful, relaxed person with sound mind! I'm a stay at home mom, I home school my children, have feral "sensory seekers" that are constantly in trouble and getting themselves into danger, we run a small hobby farm with animals and gardens, I try to do as much as I can around here so that my husband isn't overloaded with tasks and stress after he comes home from a long day at work. Anyways, that's my sob story. And A lot of times it can get overwhelming, the stress catches up with me and without much time to have self care or regulate myself, I find myself being grumpy, snappy, overstimulated, frustrated. Not to mention that, but when I was researching into cortisol management, I read how elevated cortisol can literally cause your body to hang onto excess weight (which I'm trying to offload after having all my babies!!)
