Bought this to help during the summer for the upstairs and it works great! We live in the south and summers get rough for the upstairs, especially with 3 people running consoles or PCs at one time, this has helped so much with keeping it cool and comfortable! Read more
This is a pretty good air conditioner for small spaces. I live in a 3rd-floor old apartment building so I had to have our maintenance guy come and set it up but it did not seem too complex. The unit has wheels which makes it easy to move but the wheels are really not that functional because you cannot really move it from place to place. Once it was installed it had to stay where it was. The wheels are actually kind of annoying because, with any slightest bump or tap, the hose comes out. To deal with the issue of the hose coming out, we put some clear tape on it and it seemed to help. The unit is very quiet and the remote control works fine. Due to the uneven temperature by the central air conditioning, I bought it for the upstairs small room. It’s working great. The room temperature came down fast . There’s no noise at night. We can have a comfortable and quiet night during the hot summer. Read more
I got this ac in and running just in time for our first back to back 90 degree days. I needed to come up with my own venting-shroud to use it with my slider door but other than that install was simple. Cooling power is about what I expected, this 8k btu equates to about a 5k btu window unit which is about how it feels in action. It only has two fan speeds but that seems adequate to use high at first and then low once cooled down. The noise level is tolerable. The remote works okay but it is line-of-sight and you need to be within about 10 feet for it to be reliable. Read more
I am very pleased with this portable air conditioner I got for my son's room. This is my second unit and both have been working great. At 8000 BTU, is enough cooling power for up to 230 squared feet, my son's room is 224 squared feet. This works assisting my central air when the need arises. I will never want my family to experience the heat of summer here if the central ac ever breaks down again. Two years ago it broke down and my insurance company took more than 5 days to send a technician. Read more
