The media could not be loaded. I think it’s pretty well built. It cools down right away. Main modes are Cool, Dehumidify and Fan. Comes with the hardware to run the exhaust out of a window (see picture). We bought it to use in our bedroom, cause sometimes at night with the heat on get so hot and we can’t sleep, our old one broke so we decided for this one that is more compact and versatile since combines 3 functions in one, has 8000 BTU, two fan speed and also is a dehumidifier with 50 pints per day dehumidify capacity. What’s nice is that you don’t need a hose or a bucket for the water. The water evaporates and goes out via the exhaust. Remote control: LED screen that tells you the current settings. You can control every single setting with the remote; even on/off. The unit “beeps” every time it received a signal from the remote. Other features… You can select Fahrenheit or Celsius. You can set a Timer. Lights on control panel can be turned off (too bright at night). The “Sleep Mode” will make it quieter during the night. It's not quiet, but the sound it makes is more "white noise" than "noise" and it is a smooth, consistent sound which you can adapt to, the wheels are good an and makes easy to move around. You can move the shutter vertically and horizontally, to change wind direction. Filter slide out rinses easily under a faucet, leaving the air fresh as well as cool. Extremely happy with our purchase, recommended. Read more

My apartment has a built in AC that I cannot remove without maintenance (legal reasons I guess?) and this is not an ideal situation when you have a rather large vinyl record collection that we were concerned would start to "warp" with how hot it was getting. We're on the top floor, full blazing sun from 3 pm to almost 9. This little AC unit is saving us! Its actually almost "too cold" at night now so we end up letting it cycle itself on and off for power saving and the apartment is still nice and chilly. We usually have it to about 72 but on the hottest 90+ degree day we had it at 66 and this little powerhouse made it happen anyway, it was fantastic! We haven't used the remote and probably won't since it's such a small room, but it's a nice addition if you have a larger room to cool. I was hesitant on the price but after some digging found this one to be super cheap in comparison to the ones listed near me in stores. I haven't messed with any of the other functions, but the air in here is a lot less damp and wet too and I haven't had a leak yet. I'm actually sleeping more soundly too without having to wake up covered in sweat, haha. This was a great purchase! Read more

We bought 3 units. All worked well for about 2 months. Then one of the units started to fill up with water. Due to location of the drain hole you have to mount the unit on top of something to get it to drain continuously. So we let it fill and wheeled it outside to drain. At first it was every couple days it filled then more frequently till it was 5-10 min max in between emptying. It was outside the 30 day return through amazon and we had gotten rid of the original box. We contacted amazon who contacted the seller who got back to us within 48 hours. After several back and forth emails it was made clear to the seller the drain hose was not an option for this unit. The customer service kindly sent a paid return slip and refunded our money. When we told them we did not have the original box they said to keep the unit. We paid $30 to have UPS package it and sent it back before we got the email saying to keep it. I think we would have returned it regardless since it did cool but filled too quickly. The other two units we have had running constantly for 3 months. Have never drained them. They run great. The temperature you set the unit to is the temp coming out of the unit. It is NOT temperature controlled. That was a learning curve but we quickly figured it out. The remotes are interchangeable and work with any unit. When the power goes off the unit auto turns on to dehumidifier mode which is an issue but as long as you know it you can adjust it and avoid draining the unit at 3am. More quiet than my 8 inch fan. Definitely worth the money regardless of small hiccups. Read more

Im going to agree with many of the other reviews is that even in low mode, it is not as quiet as claimed, it is still very noisy. Best to move it to another room and aim it at the bedroom so you can sleep with the noise once you get used to it. Also on several other reviews, it mentions flimsy attachment. I also was scratching my head reading the instructions to attach the hose ring to the hose. The instructions are NOT clear on this, so I figured it out myself. It does NOT screw on to the hose, it is deceiving because it has ridges that make you think so. Finally decided that I would PUSH the top of the hose through on one end, and it did have a good grip on one side, but you have to kind of push the hose (light gentle force please or else your screwed!) and after some gentle prodding, maneuvering and extremely gentle forcing did it grab onto the other side, hapazardly and crooked, but it held with some tugging to see if it would fall apart again. After that, I gently secured it to the back of the unit. So that did the trick. As for the window attachment part, that was very easy. My windows were taller than the window piece, so I had to shove some cardboard in the empty space and use a little tape to hold that in place. As for the unit function itself, I am pleased at the performance, it does cool well. Another helpful hint is that it kept colder on the low setting than on high. Overall pleased with the unit, but the attatchments as stated in many other reviews are flimsy. They could do better and make it a few mils thicker and made to attach better! Read more
