I got these to clean circuitboards of flux, and various cleaning tasks, and the varied sizes are useful, but of course, they're not consistent. The bamboo is just strong enough, but breaks easily. They don't seem to absorb a lot, but that's not why I bought them. For cleaning small things, it works fine, and you get 2000 of them, with a bunch in a bag and they're separated into different bags. It's perfectly fine for my uses, and the price was good, so that's why it gets my 5 stars, not because it's a consistent and great product, but it gets the job done for the price, and it's convenient. Wish they were a little longer and slightly more cotton on the tip. Read more

Strong enough and cotton is secure. In my opinion, better for cleaning items rather than ears because the cotton is somewhat thin and therefore not as comfortable as the common brand name. I gave it a 5-star review because it's a good item, just not for what I bought it for. Good value for the money. Read more

OK - where to even start when it comes to Q-tip style ear swabs? Ever since I was a kid I can recall that Q tips style of ear cleaners had shafts made of wood which were very sturdy ('cause they were made in the US at the time). Since that time, these types of devices transitioned to be made of a thick, durable (pliable) cardboard or plastic. But they never felt right to me. So I took a chance and ordered these wood-stemmed Q-tips and the price for the amount you get, couldn't be beat, or so I thought. When they arrived, I was disappointed to note that these are cheaply-made Asian knock offs and the wood part of the Q-tip arrangement is not consistent - some being very, very thin (that will break/snap in an instant), while others are thicker. In addition to them being very thin, the cotton swab ends are very narrow. If you are forceful with the way you use these Q-tip style swabs, you could very easily damage your ear drum. So look, you get what you pay for here - that's the bottom line. If you're looking for wood stemmed Q-tip style swabs, then this may be the best you will find (so far). But remember - they often break, and quite a few of them are thin and thus warrant you being very careful, so you don't hurt or damage your ear drum. But there are a ton of them in the package you order, so they'll last you for a while at least. These will last me for a year or more, but at the rate of them breaking (snapping) in my hand every time I go to use one, I may have to look elsewhere in the near future for a better replacement. my five stars are conditional- i bought these to clean quartz, and other detail cleaning. for that purpose they are absolutely fantastic. the cotton is not the supersoft kind so they can actually handle a little scrubbing without disintegrating into fluff. the stick is extremely sturdy. the cotton is quite absorbent, especially with oils, but not super thick, so the stick itself can still be used to scrape at areas with more buildup. for the exact reason that i love them for cleaning, they are absolutely awful for beauty and hygiene. the sticks are rigid and have harsh angles at the end which makes them scratchy, the cotton is not soft, etc. however, that's not what i bought them for so I still gave it 5 stars. If i had bought them to use for beauty or hygiene i would have a much, much lower rating. Read more

These swabs are smaller than most, if not all, name-brand swabs: shorter stick and much less cotton on the tips. The sticks are reasonably stiff, but feel like they'd break if too much pressure was put on them (I've already broken a couple). The shorter length makes them harder to hold on to (and I have small hands; I think they'd be very difficult for someone with large hands to use). The small amount of cotton on the tip means it is easy to scratch yourself with the wood. The only positive I can say is that they were very inexpensive. I will not be purchasing again. Read more
