I used a bidet in Thailand for four years before moving to the U.S., and I've been looking to get one here for a while. Awesome bidet!! The reason for only 4 stars is due to the instruction manual. There is a small blue filter that comes with the bidet, but it is not listed in the parts list or the install instructions. The only mention of it is at the end of the manual it states the “deodorizer filter” needs to be changed once a year. WTH??? It took my son quite awhile to figure out where it was supposed to go, and then he found one already installed in the white plastic connector that sticks out on the left side of bidet (where the metal hose hooks up). The Coway 400S is honestly life-changing. The warm seat alone feels amazing, like a little hug every morning. The wash features are super comfy, the controls are easy, and everything just works. Installation was ridiculously simple. Took me about 10 minutes, and I’m definitely not a DIY expert, so that says a lot. Other than opening and heating, nothing else works. The customer support is very slow (2-3 day response to emails) and, with each solution that doesn't work, they ask for another video incorporating another function. First, it was a video showing the malfunction. Second, it was the same video but including the barcode on the base of the bidet in the video. Then it was to include the remote in the video. Now it's all that plus showing that the seat sensor is properly engaged. When it still doesn't work, I'm sure they'll add something else to the list of video requirements (probably to stand on my head while doing all the rest or to juggle the remote and two chainsaws). I’m not really a plumbing guy, but installing this bidet was easier than I thought. You need to sit down gently since it feels a little wobbly. There are tons of settings, and overall it works really well. With so many features, I’m not sure how long everything will last, but so far it’s doing great. I'm new to bidets, but after a trip to Asia I wanted to make the switch. Unfortunately, my rental apt only has round toilets, so I was looking for something that had the largest hole as it's usually the complaint for men is the space in the front. I decided to buy this as my research along with what ChatGPT spit out, it seemed some reviews said it was the same if not slighly larger and the price as ~$429 at the time. I regret not just going with the Toto S7/S7A in the first place but my thought was premium features at a mid level price. The items of note after switching to Toto: - The Toto is a smaller unit in total - The Toto has a larger hole, maybe a little more than .5 inch in the length - The width of Toto sides was odd at first as it's more narrow but it's fine now - The slope of the Coway is a little higher - The back of the Coway bulges out, so if your toilet bowl isn't straight and curves out, it might be an issue. Toto fits better - The lid on the Coway opens further back (see picture) - Coway only opens up the top lid on this model, but even if manual I miss it. Toto can do both lids auto and with a button press - Water comes out cold at first on Coway, not Toto and the water felt warmer - Seat is warm immediately and warmer on Toto - The position of the sprayer seems a bit better on the Toto - NOTE: The 90 day money back only applies if you buy direct from Coway. All in all, I think if it's less than $500 after tax, it's maybe worth considering, because it gives you a lot of premium features, it just doesn't do it as well as Toto. Prob worth checking reddit and other forums for other options around this price point, but I'm happier with my Toto. Read more
