This is a great pair of boots to wear as part of a costume or for fashion. They are made of faux leather so I’m not sure how confident I am that they could be used for riding as stated in the listing without damaging the finish. It will be interesting to see how the finish on the heel holds up as well. I can’t tell if it’s a solid piece or a veneer but it’s some kind of plastic/resin. As a bonus, they come in a really nice box if you want to give them to somebody. That being said, these are truly knee high boots. I am 5’7” tall and am more torso than leg. I usually have to buy petite jeans. These boots go all the way up to my knees. I also have large wide feet. I got a size 11 and was skeptical when I saw how narrow the toe was. But my feet went in easily and the boots were comfortable. The heel was also higher than I normally wear, but it did not put too much pressure on my toes. I could definitely wear these going out, but I don’t think I could survive a whole day in them. The boots are comfortable and lightweight so it is easy to move around. The stitching for the design, inside of the boot, and around the soul are all good quality. My only real issue is that even though I have the boots pulled up all the way, there is still some sagging between my ankle in the middle of my calf. The top of the boots are snug around the top of my calves. I will post a couple of pictures to show what I’m talking about. I did fill them with bubble wrap to try and smooth out those spots while they sit in my closet. Otherwise I like the style and cut of the boots. Price wise I think these are a good value for what you’re getting. I had an old pair of knee-high boots that I had for over a decade and they finally bit the dust so I was happy to come upon these.
