Pretty good. Not as effective at removing mild surface rust in the recommended 30 minute soak as I would have expected - definitely needs more time. One thing to be careful of is that you MUST fully submerge the part. If you don't, it will leave a strongly corroded dark line at the fluid level where oxygen is able to get to the part during the fluid evaporation process. You also need to rinse it and then wipe it dry immediately. This can make it challenging for cleaning up things like 1-2-3 blocks with holes, or socket bits, or anything where you can't easily rinse the evapo rust away with water, and then dry it. Read more

I had some rust stains and small patches on some of my drill bits and some needle nose pliers and after soaking them in this solution and a some cleaning with a brass brush they look like new.. Since the solution is reusable I guess I won't need to buy it again unless it deteriorates over time. Read more

I’ve used Evapo Rust on a handful of small projects, and it does work with some limitations. It does a good job removing light surface rust and cleaning up parts that just have minor corrosion. If you’re dealing with light rust, it’s pretty much a soak and rinse solution and it saves a lot of scrubbing time. That said, it does not perform miracles. Heavy rust or deeply pitted metal didn’t come clean for me, even after extended soaking. One big plus is that it doesn’t have a strong chemical smell like many rust removers, which makes it much more pleasant to use in a garage. I also appreciate that it’s environmentally safe and non toxic compared to harsher alternatives. Overall, it’s a good product for light duty rust removal, but not the right choice if you’re trying to restore heavily rusted or pitted metal. Read more

This does remove the rust! The container says after product is used for rust removal it can be put back in the container, I don't plan on doing that as it seems like a bad idea, I put the amount I use in a glass jar and just keep reusing that. Label says it should be used above 65 degrees and I believe it works much better at a warm temperature. It does take some soaking so not a fast rust remover. Rinses off with water. I would advise to dry well after rinsing and apply a light coating of oil to reduce future rusting. Am happy with this purchase. Read more
