Works great!
Love the smaller size of this since it's just 2 of us. Makes enough for 3 leftover meals though when I fill it to brim. So...6 good portions. Works perfectly! Glad I bought. Read more

I am so glad to have a slow cooker for those busy days. I do wish I had one with more features (Timed cooking, Specific temperature control) but this is cheap and gets the job done so I cannot complain. It does exactly what it is made to do and is easy to clean. I will literally throw in some chopped vegetables and sautee them then add water or broth and all my seasoning and leave it on low for a couple hours and I absolutely love the aroma that it fills the room with. Mmmm! Quick, and easy. If you need something reliable to save you time and energy and if you would love a product easy to clean, this is for you. Also, We all know that slow and low is the way to go to preserve nutrients and create the best taste. Read more
went initially with another brand (Bella but not from Amazon) and immediately returned it. I've had Crockpot slow cookers for close to 30 years and the handle broke apart...I cracked the lid trying to remove the screw so I had to resort to another CROCKPOT. the only brand I'll use because they last. don't care for the knob on the new versions but aside from that, its perfect! I got the 4 quart black oval manual slow cooker. Read more
This is a great small crockpot but the description is off. It does NOT hold 4 quarts, it is 3 1/4 qts / 14 cups to the lid rim. It is marked 190 watts - which may be why some people comment it heats slower than one they owned in past. (two other brands here are 210 watts). Too high watts and crockpots heat too fast or too hot. The point IS to cook slow and low but to not get food poisoning lol (pathogens die abt 145'). The larger the crockpot the higher the wattage needed. If you overfill crockpots to the brim they tend not to heat up as well so this functions best if 1/2 to 2/3 full which means max of abt 2 1/2 qts or10 cups of food in it - perfect for 1 to 3 persons with some leftovers. I like this size for everyday soups, stews, pot roast and use it a lot. And for small batch bonebroths that need long, slow nutrient extraction below boiling. In this model, I get about 2 or 2 1/2 quarts of delicious healthy, low-labor chicken bonebroth from 1 purchased roasted chicken carcass (take the chicken carcass with a bit of meat left on it, break it up in big hunks with your hands, put in pot and with the skin from it + 2 frozen chicken feet (yes. wholefoods) + some carrot, an onion or leek, a celery stalk, a parsnip (yes), a bay leaf, a pinch of salt and 2 tsp lemon juice or ACV; not-quite-cover all with filtered water so pot is no more than 2/3 full; put lid on; start on High for 1-2 hours then turn to Low, let temp rise to a simmer for 6 - 8 (even 10) hours (tilt the lid with a toothpick if temp tries to rise above 200'), strain and refrigerate = perfect tasty collagen-and-nutrient-rich broth to sip as is or for soups. Or use similar amounts and time using a ham hock or 2-3 pork neck bones (no parsnip) instead of chicken for hambonebrothy split pea or bean soup. Or use a few roasted oxtail slices or shortribs simmered as above instead of chicken for beefybonebrothy soups. Hope this helped you better know what you are buying - or not. And that you like the small batch bonebroths! xoxo Read more
My grand daughter came and spent 3 months with me and while she was here she really came to like the convenience of cooking in a slow cooker. So when she went back to Texas I thought I would surprise her and send her one. I figured she didn't need anything fancy for a 1st slow cooker. This is a basic slow cooker with 1 knob that is high, low, warm and off. She loves it, she made a roast for her 1st try in it. I also sent her the slow cooker liners. We all know teenagers do not like to wash dishes. She really appreciated it. She said her roast turned out so tender and delicious. This is the basic 4 quart slow cooker that has a stoneware insert that is removable. This slow cooker is dishwasher safe though. Read more

I bought this Crock-Pot to use for two people regularly and more guests occasionally, and it's the perfect size. I've made several dishes with this already, beef stews, chili, and an Ethiopian chicken dish and it's been great. If we're extra hungry, there's maybe only a bowl or two left over and it's feeds up to four people, but I'd say no more than four. It's easy to set up, use, and clean. The lid doesn't latch on but I didn't have any problems with leakage or over condensation. Some tips to keep in mind, try to blanch hard vegetables first, like potatoes, so they'll soften up enough. Brown meat before putting it in the pot when possible, and use less liquid than you would use normally. Because everything is contained, there is little to no evaporation and reducing of liquids. The pot does get warm but not scorching, take care when handling the ceramic. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! Read more
I absolutely LOVE this Crock-Pot- it's everything I wanted. Love the oval shape. It's quality it excellent. The "warm" option is a huge plus. I've read a lot of the negative reviews on this Crock-Pot and I certainly have no idea what they're talking about. The OFF/LOW/HIGH/WARM button works seamlessly, the top fits perfectly, the outside stays a normal warm temperature, the inside temperature stays perfect to the temperature I've set it at, and the feet are sturdy and stable. I think those reviewers have never owned a Crock-Pot and don't know what to expect of it. The negative content about it cooking too hot on LOW is just absurd- clearly, if you have a lot of liquid in your Crock-Pot, after 5-6 hours, of course it's going to have a very small, minuscule, bubbling...relax. Now, having said all that- I kind of wish I had of gotten the digital version. This one is fine though. Oh, and I LOVE the black color. You'll love it! Read more
Picked this up to make chili and soups. I've had it for more than 3 years and never had a problem. Great for meal prep etc. My fridge is stocked full of soups, stews, chowder etc every year for the winter. Can't go wrong and the price is right. Great value. Read more
