I have been giving my 12 year old, 40lb dog 1/2 of a stick daily for the last 10 days or so, and I am already seeing a HUGE difference in his teeth. He has never been a chewer of nylabones or sticks or anything, and I haven't always been the best at brushing, so he had some tarter buildup, but it's already starting to clear up. Wish I'd have started giving him these years ago, but they are really helping. Because of his age, I do not want to have to have him put under for a cleaning, so I am so pleased that these work. Wow!!! Excellent product! My dog’s teeth look so clean after using this product only a few times. My dogs loved this treat! I think it kept their teeth clean at first, but the treat can be easily broken and my dogs started to be stinkers and only eat it with some of their teeth so it wasn’t getting at their plaque. I always ensured to check their teeth to brush them just in case. I have ordered 6 packs of these every month for quite some time as I have a dog with cushings disease and colitis and every other dental treat was making her sick. My two dogs would not go to bed without their bedtime snack, it was the cutest thing. They loved the taste of these and the size of them were pretty decent especially for median sized dogs, however, one of my pups recently passed away and the other has to follow a different diet. I give these to my dogs only a few times a week and I'm actually surprised at how clean their teeth look. I don't know if it's a combination of the pre/probiotics they're getting along with these or what, but I'm happy to see the results regardless. In addition, they last a little longer than a regular treat that's gone in seconds. These "sticks" last a few minutes and are a good distraction for the dogs. ...the sticks are now so soft that my crippled hands and fingers have no problem bending them in half, they used to be so hard & strong, I could only break them by hitting them hard with the palm of my hand on the sharp edge of a hard counter. ***Having used the sticks for several years and getting better plaque reports from the vet, I generally purchase an 8-10 bag supply so when I noticed the difference, I assumed I had not sealed the bag well causing the sticks to go soft...when the next bag did the same, I checked the freshness date, "BB MA 2025...I then found an older bag in the cabinet and found those sticks to be as they always had been...this led me to compare the ingredients list and to my discovery of what caused the "Plaque Buster" quality to disappear. Previously, the Oyster Shells were one of the initial ingredients which is what made the sticks strong and crunchy supporting the claim "TO HELP FIGHT PLAQUE"...Sadly I did not take a pic of that bag... as I obviously decided not to purchase them again. ***Not recalling that I had subscibed to auto order on my previous purchase, I saw today that another 10 bag order is on it's way...I decided it was time for me to write a review because of the tremendous loss of the product quality. ETA 11/2025 Shrinkflation seems to have affected our beloved Crumps? The sticks are smaller both in width and length. The bag says it’s still 9.5 oz though. My cheweenie has bad teeth. She gets annual dental cleanings and in between I have tried everything from teeth brushing (which she hates) to every dental bone on the market to sprays to you name it. The Greenies weren’t doing anything. She chomped them down like a treat, rather than chew them against her teeth. So I thought I’d try one more type and found these. Her teeth are still not great, but when she chews these, they force her to slow down and really chew them - and there is *some* improvement with her gums and plaque. So I’m thrilled.
