Crystal Chandelier LED Modern Pendant Light Raindrop Ceiling Light Crystal Ball Lighting Fixture for Staircase Living Room Hotel

We bought and installed this about a year ago in our main entryway to the house. We got the one with 36 lights and a round base. Everyone that sees it has said how amazing and cool it looks. It looks far better, brighter, and more modern than the traditional old one that was original to the house. It is not currently on a dimmer switch, but we will probably do that in the near future. One thing to keep in mind with this is that it can/will take a *very long time* to get it set up and hung. We were originally going to have our contractors that were doing our main floor remodel install this, but we fired them after other unrelated quality, communications, and scheduling issues and did it ourselves. We are fairly handy and generally comfortable with electrical, plumbing, and light construction work. We have also installed many other light fixtures and ceiling fans before. This one was by far the most complicated and time consuming! Setup: The pre-wiring of all the hanging bulbs took around 4 hours because we had to get all the wire lengths correct and connected in the base. This involved a lot of measuring, making sure the lengths looked randomly random, and then finally testing the wiring *before* we actually got the scaffolding and hung it from the ceiling. As a precaution, we carefully and neatly twist tied all the wiring in the base to keep it from moving around and to keep it compact and organized. If by some small chance it needs work in the future it would be much easier. We also left a good amount of extra wire up in the base in case we want to change the lengths later. Maybe into a spiral or something years down the road. Installing: Hanging it required scaffolding and took three of us about 2 hours to finish. Two of us were up top mounting the metal frame that the base attaches too and everything hangs from. The other person was on the ground helping with anything else. It is all very heavy, and needless(?) to say you should attach the acrylic balls after everything is hung. Also, be sure to *not* take the protective clear plastic off until it is securely hung to prevent scratches directly on the metal. Oops. Minor issue: We did have to contact the seller to get a new set of instructions since "we" (our contractors mentioned above) lost the original papers at some point. I mention this because the PDF the seller sent was a very low resolution/compressed. It was difficult to see some of the details in the wiring diagrams, mounting instructions, or read some of the text. I would only take a half star off if that were an option. This was the 4th chandelier I ordered for my foyer after months of searching. The first order was through amazon and the seller canceled it after a week. Second was “shipped” and after several weeks of waiting, the package was a letter saying they shipped the chandelier. Third was from Lowe’s and the chandelier was way too small for my space. I had low expectations and questioned if I’d even get this chandelier but it showed up right in the window listed by Amazon. I ordered the 26 globe unit with round base. It showed up in two large boxes each weighing over 50 lbs. The boxes were pretty beat up but the packaging foam was excellent and nothing was damaged. Everything was well organized but the chandeliers come completely disassembled. Assembly wasn’t difficult at all but time consuming. I wanted a random height look and my globes to range from 130” up to about 30” so I set each cable up at 4” increments. The cables came ranging from something like 2 meters to 5 meters in length in .25 meter increments. 2 of each length and coiled and labeled nicely. You can set any cable up to any length though so you’re not stuck with these lengths. You have to install each cable where you want it and wire it to the distribution connectors inside. I got all hanging cables in place before routing the cables in the base and connecting them up. I was able to organize the cables nicely this way and fit all the excess in the base without cutting any (in case I wanted to change the height of any globes later). Once connected I tested that it was hooked up correctly so I wouldn’t have to take it down and fix something. Next was installing the ceiling mount. This total chandelier weighs about 100lbs so you need to make sure you hit studs. Once that was secure I mounted the base with all the cables to my ceiling. Then installed the globes and bulbs one at a time. Overall it took about 4 hours to build and install taking my time and making sure I had everything correct but the end result is perfect. It perfectly fills my space and fits my modern style foyer. The globes are real glass and probably weigh over 3lbs each. The base appears to be mirror polished stainless steel and good quality. The cables are nice and thick and the globes pull them perfectly straight (something the Lowe’s chandelier didn’t do). The only complaint I have is that the bulbs they sent with the chandelier buzz anywhere near full brightness. I’m going to have to replace the bulbs with something that doesn’t buzz. Read more

Very nice light for our dining room. Assembly and installation takes some time and patience so allow ample time and take it slow. But well worth all the effort. Really like the adjustable length for the crystal balls. Can tailor these to whatever looks good. Inspecting the contents when the package first arrived, found that one crystal ball was missing. Amazon helped me contact the seller and in a short time received conformation a replacement was sent. Got in less than a week and all was complete. Really like the quick response from the seller. Also make sure your ceiling fixture can hold up to 50 pounds, really heavy with all the crystal balls installed. I used a different type of sheet rock anchor than what come with the light. But it's very secure and easily holds the weight. Nice that the light comes complete with LED bulbs.
