Ok, I'll admit it...sometimes we're less than knowledgeable about owning a pool. Although we've had our pool for well over a decade, it's our first one ever and so when something we've never run into before needs replaced we're kind of clueless for a while and usually get it wrong the first time. A pool light that needs replaced, for example. We bought one that we thought was great, and it was. For a short amount of time before it rapidly burned out. We tried changing everything (circuits, switch, etc.) over probably an entire year, thinking it couldn't possibly be the light since we had just changed it. It was only THEN that we asked someone and discovered we had purchased the wrong voltage. APPARENTLY pool lights that fit our pool light socket (or whatever it's called, sorry) come in 12V OR 120V. We had unknowingly ordered the 12V but our system takes a 120V. OK, good tip. When I saw this pool light I first checked that it fit our system then checked the Voltage and happily ordered it. This pool light is bright, sturdy, durable, made of what feels like quality material, and is super easy to install (just unscrew the old one and screw this new one in). It looks great and works exactly as it's supposed to. I feel bad that we wasted a perfectly good pool light and went without one for so long just because we couldn't figure out the voltage thing, but that's ok...this is how we learn. Recommend. It is a good light bulb and screws in as an easy replacement. Turns on and off as it should and is a good replacement and value. The lifespan of the bulb is rated high and so I have high expectations for that. I will update the review if it doesn’t last. Bottom line: if this fits your underwater lighting fixture (this is a larger bulb) then this is a great replacement option offering good quality. Read more

I wasn’t sure if switching from a traditional filament to an LCD bulb would enhance our pool - I thought for sure it would look cheap. But I was wrong! This light was better than we imagined. The original Hayward light always shun too bright - bright enough to light up my entire backyard. Looking directly at the old light would simply blind my visitors. This light was the complete opposite. It’s subtle, modern and adds the coolness I had been wanting since my pool’s initial installation. Light mostly stays within the pool borders and respects my succulent displays - which mostly use warm lighting. Installation of the LCD pool light was easy - just like installing a regular bulb onto a floor lamp. Easy, breezy! Looking forward to many years of night time fun. Read more

This light is ready to drop in. At this price point you can't beat it for a replacement light. You just have to know that you don't have to drain your pool to replace the light. You just have to unscrew the screw holding the light in and you just have to not drop the screw. The light is held in a waterproof enclosure and you just have to pull it out. There are videos showing how to do this. This light is well made and will last for years of service. Read more

I picked up the CTRLCV light (LED Pool Light) not for a pool application but due to very high humidity in my bathroom. The bulb is design for high humidity applications. The big surprise was how high the CRI was on this bulb listing a >80 CRI. (CRI>80 refers to a Color Rendering Index greater than 80, which measures how accurately a light source reveals the colors of objects compared to natural sunlight). The angle of the light was something that caught my attention also. PAR38 gives a narrow angle and provides excellent light and brightness. This is 200% better than I expected. The picture became adjusted by the phone so is hard to see. Notice the door frame color outside the bathroom, the reason it turns reddish is that that the bathroom is that much whiter than before relative to the same light outside the bathroom. The only negative and why I give it 4 stars is how long it took to get to me. Order Oct21 arrived 1 month later. Sigh... Read more

The media could not be loaded. EDIT: Dropping to just 1 star because the pool light stopped working properly after just 2 weeks. It now flashes off and on really fast like crazy. Likely to put you into a seizure if you look too long. Will have to completely remove it which is a bit of a pain in the arse. VIDEO ATTACHED SHOWING THE MALFUNCTION. I have tried turning it off and on and off again and again and leaving it off for 24 hours twice. Same thing each time. NO bueno ORIGINAL REVIEW: Bulb looks great and as expected. The 6500k s prefect for our pool with a very crips white but also with a significant hint of blue which really makes the pool shine beautifully at night! Install was easy as expected. Screw in and remount the fixture in the pool wall. Recommended. Read more

I ordered this LED pool light in mid-October, but it didn’t arrive until more than a month and a half later, which was quite frustrating. Because of the long delay, I had already installed a different replacement bulb before this one finally showed up. That said, the packaging was clean and professional, and the bulb itself looks well-built and solid. The materials feel durable, and it emits a bright, even white light when tested. However, since I’ve already replaced my pool light, I haven’t had a chance to test it underwater yet — so I can’t comment on its long-term waterproof performance. For now, I’ll be keeping it as a backup. If you’re not in a rush, this product might be worth trying — it appears to be good quality for the price. But if you need a pool light quickly, you may want to consider other options with faster delivery. Read more
