The media could not be loaded. I had bought the cheaper version and returned it for this one. It’s absolutely worth the investment! It’s wonderful—the rice turns out exactly how you want it, whether fluffy or softer, and it cooks very fast. I also made oatmeal and it comes out better than in hotels, and the stewed meat is incredible. I highly recommend it! Read more

The media could not be loaded. This rice cooker is from one of the most trusted brands in Korea, and the performance lives up to its reputation. For this price, the value is outstanding — the rice comes out exactly like the bowls I used to enjoy back home: chewy, glossy, and perfectly cooked every time. It’s a great fit for a 2–3 person household, and the compact design looks sleek on the counter. There are plenty of cooking modes available, but if you mainly plan to use it as a rice cooker, I recommend sticking to the rice modes. If you want to explore other functions, make sure to use the cleaning mode regularly — it helps a lot. If you’re new to Korean-style rice cookers, take a moment to read the manual. It explains everything clearly, and you’ll avoid mistakes early on. Just remember: use a soft sponge for cleaning the inner pot, and never use a metal rice scoop. For the best results, use the correct water level and mode for the type of rice. For reference, I usually cook 2 cups of white rice and 1 cup of brown rice, fill the water up to the “Mixed Rice 3” line, and use the high-pressure “Mixed Rice (Normal)” mode. It never sticks and comes out great every time. (See photos and videos for reference.) And one more tip: regularly taking apart the removable parts and giving the cooker a thorough cleaning also makes a noticeable difference in the taste of the rice. Overall, I’m extremely satisfied. As expected — Cuckoo never disappoints. Read more

I've had a top brand name rice cooker for many years. My main complaint is is took too long to cook steamed white rice and recently the rice was well done on top, soggy at the bottom. I thought it was the quality of rice but after buying this rice cooker my semi average quality rice turned to premium restaurant quality rice. It's glistening, great chew and evenly cooked from top to bottom, oh and cooking time has been cut in half. I can't say enough good things about this rice cooker, it literally saved my rice experience. Read more

I always wondered which rice cooker is better Japan or Korea? I have always had Zojirushi rice cooker, I have a white neuro fuzzy and a pressure-induction rice cooker. When I tried the Cuckoo, I was highly disappointed. The rice came out clumped together and had a greyish hue. It cooked the rice in less than 30 min, whereas my Zojirushi takes 1 hour. This is due to the Zojirushi soaking rice for 30 min. Using the Zojirushi with the same rice, it come out white and fluffy. The rice also just tasted bad, it was hard to break apart. Also when opening the rice cooker, the front legs lifts up making a thud noise. I also find that all the buttons on it makes it more complicated, the Zojirushi rice cooker is much more simpler and easy to use. Read more
