Electric Foot File With tremendous apprehension, I pulled the trigger on this electric file. While I wouldn’t ever admit to using a Milwaukee power tool to file down the calluses off my tough feet, let’s just say, well - actually - that is actually what I’m mentally comparing this against. Packaging The manufacturer packed the manly colored device in a very feminine cardboard box - showing the incorrect colors on the outside of the packaging. Inside the easily-forgivable packaging print, the correctly colored product came packaged with an abundance of plastic. Key findings This product performed incredibly well. It was very quiet and powerful. It held its own to a Milwaukee 12v brushless multitool with course 60 grit sandpaper - I mean it would probably perform as well or better. I should not have been surprised but I was caught off guard that this product was NOT wireless. I wondered, at first, whether this bothered me. Quickly I realized this is not a problem at all. This isn’t an application where I need the complexity of a battery and charger and optimized motor; I just want something that plugs in, works immediately and powerfully. This is that. Cuisinart Air Fryer, Large 6L — The One We Should’ve Bought First About three years ago our microwave kicked the can. A friend recommended a “premium” replacement with a fancy slim-frying function. We splurged. We hoped. We dreamed. And the thing performed about as well as you’d expect a microwave to perform at air frying: not well. That disappointing soggy fish and chips experience left us reluctant to buy anything that called itself an air fryer ever again. Fast forward to this year. Life got busier, dinner needed to happen faster, and we begrudgingly reopened the Great Air Fryer Debate. After “careful research” (i.e., too much YouTube) we bought a high-end toaster-oven-slash-baker-slash-air-fryer. And… it sucked at air frying. Impressive toast, sure. But ask it to crisp a nugget? Nope. So when the chance came to test this Cuisinart unit, I pulled the trigger with the enthusiasm of someone who has been soggy-burned twice and is now emotionally numb. The entire world insists these things are magical — but our countertop graveyard of failures told a different story. And really, what did we have left to lose besides our last square foot of bench space? Wow. This is the unit we should’ve bought from day one. It is the real deal. Beige food emerges crisp, fast, evenly cooked, and with only the tiniest whisper of oil. Everything the hype promised — this finally delivers. It has great features like a mid-cook reminder to shake the fries and it will keep the fried food warm for upwards of an hour post cook. Cleanup is absurdly easy. A splash of soapy water, one quick wipe, and the tray and basket are clean in seconds. In a kitchen full of gadgets that require too much time and effort to clean this thing is a gift. The packaging was refreshingly eco-friendly — no unnecessary plastic. As for size: yes, it’s large. But it’s large in proportion to how much food it can crank out in 15–25 minutes. And the exhaust? It vents straight out the back. You can’t redirect it, but the warmth isn’t dangerous — warm to the hand, nowhere near scalding. Bottom line: This is the air fryer we should have bought instead of our two rounds of “almost” and “definitely not.” It’s efficient, easy, powerful, and finally lives up to the promise everyone else keeps raving about. As this air fryer has a ton more features, functions, and versatility, and is much more user friendly. I love the four one touch cooking function buttons, as well as the three pre-programmed cooking functions that include fries, wings, and frozen snacks...all of which can be customized [adjusted] to better meet your individual preferences...super easy and convenient. The toss/turn notification is also a great feature, as it insures that any and all of your foods are perfectly done and taste amazing. But the most impressive feature of this high-quality air fryer, in my opinion, is how well it crisps the air fried foods...seriously, absolutely amazing! The manual is very well done and includes over a dozen recipes that illustrate how functional this air fryer truly is. And the included quick reference guide also includes a handy "Air Fryer Chart" to get you using this awesome air fryer like a professional in no time at all. I also appreciate that this appliance is super easy to clean as the basket and crisper plate (everything that touches the food) is dishwasher safe...super convenient. The large control/display panel is very easy to use and read. This air fryer is a bit heavy, but not overly so (at least for me), and in my opinion, this is further testament to the overall quality of this air fryer. And although I have used this air fryer a handful of times in a variety of ways, I can't wait to roast a whole chicken. This truly is a top quality six-quart basket air fryer that will serve you well for many years. Bottom line, this is an amazing basket air fryer that offers exceptional form and function.
