Confusing to use

This air fryer is one of the best air fryers I have ever used. It cooks evenly, everything that comes out of it is cooked well, and it is extremely easy to clean. The fryer heats quickly and maintains a steady temperature, and out of the box, has no off-putting odors. If you leave it on your counter, you will use it a lot. We like to store our air fryer away, since we have limited counter space, and it is a little heavy for us older people to move around, but we do it. If I were just rating the quality of the fryer and the results we get, it would easily be a 5 out of 5. But then there are the functionality of the controls. Ugh! This is a dual fryer, so you have two separate frying areas, so the controls have to work both, but it is very confusing as to which side you have chosen, since they don't have totally separate control panels. It is so confusing that I wanted to rate it a 3, but if I were rating just based on the controls, it would probably be a 1. We have a dual oven in our home, and there is a right control panel for the lower oven, and a left control panel for the top oven. This is the way the controls should be on this air fryer. There have been so many times when I am using both sides and while setting time and temperature for the second fryer, inadvertently turn off the first side and have to start all over. Very frustrating! I'm very tech savvy, and I am sure that I will learn the system and stop making mistakes, but if you need a user friendly air fryer that's easy to use, or if you are not that tech savvy, stay away from this fryer.
