This paddle does not work for the ICE-30

I purchased this paddle for my ICE-30 because on another website the writer said the ICE-70 paddle was constructed in a way that it produced a smoother ice cream, and that it would work for the ICE-30. Well, all I can say is that for my ICE-30, this paddle does not work! With this paddle sitting in the freezer bowl I can't properly put the top on the machine-- this paddle is taller and wider than the original ICE-30 paddle.
