I wanted a compact blender to blend soups and smoothies and something that fit under my cabinets. This is functional and beautiful. The only thing bad is the motor is not that strong. If I’m making a thick smoothie or something with ice, it struggles a bit. Read more

This product does not have any glass, as advertised, it is made of very cheap plastic, and the motor can't be very powerful considering it's feather light. This is very disappointing, as I have always trusted cuisinart products and they have always lasted me a long time. I did not bother to test it out as I was scared it would break in the process. Im really not one to write reviews, but I do not want anyone else to fall victim to the aesthetic design of this product. Read more

Wow — this Cuisinart blender is the real deal. It’s an absolute beast that tears through whatever you put in it, with all the force and power of an F5 tornado. This is my first full-sized blender, and the 36 oz capacity feels luxurious in comparison to my prior personal-sized “bullet” blender. I was always so annoyed by having to pause that one mid-smoothie to remove chunks of frozen strawberries from the barely-functional blades, ugh. Thankfully, you won’t have to deal with that nonsense with this model. As an electronics geek, I’m impressed that the 600-watt motor is so powerful that it’s around the same wattage as my Dyson vacuum. (Which means it’s also pretty loud — so, uh, don’t make a smoothie late at night if there are folks sleeping in the next room.) Even with the generous capacity and high-powered motor, this blender is still compact enough to fit on my tiny kitchen counter without taking up too much space -- yet it’s also large enough to make a batch of tomato soup and have enough to share. The multi-level blades are razor sharp, and so far, I haven’t been able to find any ingredients that it hasn’t immediately demolished. Excellent! I also appreciate that the pitcher has markings on the side for measurement in both cups and ounces, and how it’s super easy to take the parts apart for cleaning. I do wish the main portion were glass instead of plastic, especially because it’s “top rack dishwasher safe” and it simply doesn’t fit up there in my tiny dishwasher. However, it seems to be just fine on the bottom rack as long as I turn off “heated dry.” The "pulse" functionality is nice for making a chunkier recipe such as hummus or pesto where I want to retain some texture. Otherwise, if you want everything to be thoroughly blended to a puree, no worries -- the one-touch "blend" button will keep the blender running until you press the button a second time to bring it to a halt. Pretty nice to not have to stand there manually pressing the button the whole time. Notably, when the blender is plugged in and ready to go, there’s a flashing light that lets you know not to do anything risky near the blades. Very thoughtful safety feature! I’m glad it’s made by a reputable brand that considers things like user safety, and not by an unpronounceable off-brand with a company name that looks like my cat stepped on my computer keyboard. This is helpful in case I need to use the included warranty or order spare parts in the future. Overall, this is a fabulously efficient blender that packs a punch, and I’m obsessed. I highly recommend it to anyone with a compact kitchen who wants full-sized blending potential, or who wants to upgrade from a sad little personal-sized blender to a serious model made for home cooks.
