You can whip it out on the spot and make instant ice cream sandwiches out of almost any cookies (soft ones are best for cutting), cakes and ice cream you have around--with the children's help, of course. I bought this because the description gave dimensions of 8.3 X 4 X 8.3". It lead me to believe that the ice cream sandwiches would be 4" long. Maybe it's 4" if you put all 3 tubes together, but each individual tube is only 1-1/2" long and nothing is 4" long. This will only make bitesize-miniature 1-1/2" ice cream sandwichs. They are so small that it isn't worth the time and trouble it would take to make them. perhaps it could be used for bits-sized canapes, but not practical for icecream sandwiches. It seems to be well made, but I have no use for something this small. I am returning it. Read more

So, I saw this and decided "Hey! I totally want to spend a lot of time baking like 100 cookies and using these awesome things to make neat little ice cream sandwiches!!" So that is the reasoning behind purchasing these after 2AM one night. I have to say, it was totally worth it! These are great. We purchased them for our daughter's birthday and she really liked them; so do I. She has made us ice cream sandwiches with both brownies and cookies. This was perfect for our Christmas dessert. People will be SO impressed because they look so fancy. I made a regular chocolate layer cake, split the layers horizontally and used them. It is easier if the ice cream is slightly soft and if you put each one in the freezer right after you stamp it. Read more
