I ordered these thongs in size M (my usual size is S) because I dont want to stretch the delicate lace too much over the times of wearing, even though they have enough elasticity. Size M works out perfectly as it hugs my hips nicely with a very light/minimum stretch of the elastic bands and lace. I suggest hand washing and hang-drying these items as the washer and dryer may destroy them. I always hand wash my delicate under wears and lingerie anyway. Keep in mind that this style is NOT cheeky, hipster or brief. It is thong but very comfortable to wear when the front and back lace stay in place, very sexy and flattering actually. I wore them under fitted pencil skirt after getting rid of the little bow on the front, and the panty lines do not show. I usually do not like thongs with thin and skimpy back straps. These have to be some of the worst underwear I've ever purchased. They're not true to size, they were too small, they were extremely uncomfortable and they were just 'hard'. I just didn't like the material. I loved the colors which is what caught my eye as well as the way they 'sit' on the body but they don't look or fit like that in real life.
