I recently tried these filters, purchased from Amazon, after a growing dissatisfaction from carbon Omni filters I had been using. I only started buying the Omni, when I could no longer find the GE made carbon filters I had been buying from local grocery chains. Anyway, these Culligan Level 4 filters are awesome. My well water contains a high concentration of iron and these filters do a fantastic job of filtering that and other sediment out. Also, I've noticed a drastic reduction in *rotten egg* odor when using hot water. My water feels and tastes much softer and cleaner since using these filters. Also, when doing laundry, my clothes look more clean, which I attribute to the filter doing its job. The only reason I give the product 4 and not 5 stars is that I have to change them out about every 4 weeks, which isn't very long life. But that probably has a lot more to do with the fact that my water is so hard....so the filter life is used up quickly.
