I had genuinely high hopes for the CUPSHE Women's Sweater, as the style in the online photos was incredibly cute and trendy for fall. The actual look of the sweater is quite similar to the pictures; however, my positive first impression was immediately dampened by the texture. Even though it is 100% polyester, I did not anticipate how scratchy it would feel. I was hoping for a softer, more refined polyester knit, but it sadly has the rough feel of cheap wool. The fit was true to size—I ordered my usual large—but I found the length to be cropped at the waist. While this is a popular style, I personally prefer my sweaters to come down a bit lower for more coverage and comfort, so the length isn't ideal for me. Compounding my disappointment were the details: the gold-coated metal buttons arrived noticeably scratched right out of the package. Unfortunately, despite the cute design, the combination of the scratchy feel, the cropped length, and the damaged buttons means this sweater just isn't what I was hoping for. This sweater is very soft and comfortable to wear. The sizing was good, and the medium fit like a medium should. It was well-fitted but not tight. The gray is sort of mid-gray and pairs nicely with just about anything. The buttons are large, and note that they are offset, running down the front and side of the sweater, not the more traditional middle. But I actually like this style, and it's done well. I think it looks nice, provides some visual interest, but isn't distracting. It's warm enough for chilly temps (not freezing) and makes a good layering piece. Read more
