Best lotion for HS. Don't be ashamed, we can only do the best we can and it skin takes a beating and we can do nothing about it but moisturize and rebuild it skin barrier. I recommend the curel ointment if you are in an active flare. Remission is great and you will get there. Just hydrate and moisturize. Read more

The ointment itself is great but very thick. I put this on my hand with gloves at night. No skin issues especially during winter months. My only complaint is it’s tough to get out of the bottle. You need good strength to squeeze it out. Read more

The applicator is great because it’s a very thick lotion, like petroleum jelly and you don’t need to get it all over your hands to apply it where needed. It’s really helped my elbows. I’m only marking it down one star because it’s expensive for the size. On the other hand, a little goes a long way. Read more

If you have any allergies or sensory issues or even just want a cruelty free skin balm. I really recommend this. It's a little "stiff" so it take a bit of a squeeze to get it to come out, but you only need a tiny bit of it. The applicator cap does a very comfortable job of spreading it around. I am allergic to lanolin and petroleum products, and I needed a non irritating fragrance-free balm for protecting the moisture balance of a scar from surgery as it heals. Also touching lotions and balm is a fingertip sensory issue for me. So this literally ticked all the boxes I was looking for. It does take a little longer to soak in than lighter products, but it does absorb into your skin and I am seeing promising progress (With no irritation) after only one day, I am using it between silicone scar strip applications too so that's helping as well. It does not have a smell at all. It's a little thick so you may find it a tad greasy, but not in a slippy, gloppy way, just it's gonna be thick till it soaks in. It's the consistency of petroleum jelly, without the petroleum jelly, is probably the best way to describe the grease feel of it. Read more

Neat idea for the dispenser, but still not quite there for real world use. You practically have to sit on the tube to squish it out. The lotion is sticky, super thick and does moisturize. Wish they would've fine tuned this a little more before selling it. Read more

I have very delicate dry skin. I had to start taking insulin. Since then, my skin peels all the time, Doctors say "insulin doesn't do that." No help there. I have tried just about every lotion and dryness product there is. In my case either it doesn't work, or I am allergic t it. My husband and daughter have great skin, they get all the stuff I buy and can't use. But this item works far beyond what I ever hoped for. It is put on over the dry skin and rubbed in, it softens the dry skin and it rubs off after a few hours or overnight. I also, haven't been able to find a soap, so I wash with warm, steamy water, then apply this item after the skin is dry. l like the packaging and application idea as it seems to be cleaner and not messy and very little waste. This has been a long and expensive search for me and I am so glad I finally found something to work. Read more

Don’t know what it can do because unable to squeeze out of the tube! EXTREMELY disappointed Curel! Been using your lotion and hand cream for years, but this one is not pleasing me at all! If I could give zero star I would! Read more
