I love the shape. I really love the smaller barrel. I have short hair. Mostly I let it do it's on thing, but sometimes I want some curl. This gives me the exact amount and size of curl I want. Temperature goes from 180 to 200 (and maybe higher, but I don't remember). Heats up in seconds. Times off if I forget to turn it off or unplug it. Great value Read more

I am pleasantly surprised by this curling iron (so far). Have been using it on VERY short, med thick hair. Curls very fast, and easy. I was using a name brand/ "high quality" iron before, and I'm shocked how quickly I can pull off the hair with this one compared to holding in place. Curls last all day!!! I have not tried this on long, course hair yet. When I do, I'll update review if anything changes. Oh.. the button to turn on and select Temp.. if I'm not mistaken hits 180 first- and then 200 (which is the top temp). I thought this would be an issue, but so far it's seemingly as hot as others with higher temp. I will say.. the one and only Negative(again so far) is the clamp doesn't seem too tight. This unit is super! The small rod is just what I’ve been looking for nearly forever. I have short hair, but don’t always want it straight for “dressy” occasions and that can be murder when looking for a curling iron. These days the whole world has long hair and everything either puts waves into your long hair, takes waves out of your long hair, or untangles you’re long hair. A rod under 1/2” is impossible to find. For those of us with short hair are who don’t want to be reduced to looking like somebody’s kid brother or as if we’d stuck a finger in a socket with ends sticking out everywhere, this is the perfect solution. I'm sure there are others who have mastered the use of this tool, but I was only successful in making tight, poodle-like curls all over my head. My cute pixie cut that I was hoping to add some stylish curls to, turned into well....it was very curly. Not saying it wasn't cute, but it wasn't what I hoped for. Read more
