LONG review, but hopefully helpful to my fellow bra-challenged peeps

JamieDecember 31, 2025✓ Verified purchase

Here’s the situation: I have had saline implants for 20+ years (over the muscle), gave birth and breastfed twice, gained weight and recently lost a good deal of weight. My measurements are 31-32” (rib cage, under the breast), 38” at my fullest (supported in a bra), and 41” bending forward unsupported. IYKYK. I have a great deal of sagging with the added bonus of the implants acting as oranges in a tube sock. Also lots of loose skin from a 50lb weight loss. I’ve tried no fewer than 50 bras (not an exaggeration) in sizes from 32G to 36DDD in the last 6 months, but I’ve landed most often at 34DDD. Many have fit but most are not comfortable or flattering. Also, at almost 50yo, I’m 100% over underwires, but most wire free bras don’t work for me. This bra truly surprised me! First, it seems like a lot of fabric and the fit feels more like a light sports bra, but without the uniboob effect. I’ve worn it under tight shirts and the silhouette is very much like a regular bra. Not bulky. Not smooshed. Definitely not a push-up or shaped cup, but a natural sort of look without the actual natural placement of my boobs hanging down below my rib cage. Since my size fell sort of in-between, I tried the M, L, and L+. The medium was too small in the cup for me and I was sort of spilling out the top while verging on uniboob. The L+ is a ton of coverage in the cup but verges on being too much fabric with not quite enough support. Wearing the L+ with the straps crossed in the back helped that and the appearance and support are better. Ultimately I kept the L and the L+ but ordered a few more of the L. The L fit well in the cups with the straps uncrossed (which I prefer) and gives me ample support without underwire pain. No spillage. No uniboob. Pros: VERY comfortable. Surprising amount of support (without an underwire!) for heavy and sagging breasts. Good shape under clothes. Holds everything in place and would absolutely work well as a light sports bra (think yoga or Pilates, not running.). Price point is in the lower end of bras-I-have-purchased-and-actually-kept, so I’m counting that as a pro. Cons: I do wish they offered smaller band sizes. Right out of the gate, I’m wearing it on the tightest hook and I worry it will stretch out over time. It is not at all an attractive or sexy bra and that’s not a worry for me but offering it as insight for those to whom it might matter. I can’t speak to longevity as I’ve only been wearing them a few weeks and I’m equally not sure how breathable they may be in summer months. But for now - the winter of my (bra) discontent - this will be the bra I’m sticking with. I’m happy I found it and hope it holds up! Read more

40H/I, I've bought three.

Bras are such an individual thing, but for me, this is THE bra. I guess this is just a wireless bra? It's definitely more supportive than a bralette, and it's not a sports bra although you're very secure? Definitely go for any yoga pose? Things to know: 1. This is not going to replace your ultimate shaping/minimizer bra. For me, that's the Wacoal Women's Plus size perfect primer underwire, size 40I. Totally recommend that bra for Serious Days. 2. For me, this is most perfect and comfortable with cross back. That puts the straps higher on my shoulders and is such comfortable weight distribution. Because boobs are heavy. 3. For me, the 3Xplus is a better more supportive fit, not the 4Xplus, which is what the size chart recommended. I have a 4Xplus, which I like, but I'm on the tightest hooks and I'd still like it a little tighter. 4. Yes the heavy band does ride up sometimes for me, personally not a big deal. 5. It seems well made. I super love that the straps click in, very easy to change from cross to regular. A++ favorite new thing. Read more

Gentle comfort and support

MoxieFebruary 13, 2022✓ Verified purchase

After a lifetime of underwire bras to support my curves, about 5 years ago decided to go wire-free. Good decision, but then I've had years of trying to find the wire-free bra that still had gentle support. I find this bra to be very comfortable. The brand seems to respect the needs of women with larger breasts and curvy bodies. Although this bra is not supportive enough for aerobics (for me anyway), it is perfect for everyday activities and around-the-house. I am comfortable in this bra all day long. I like the soft underband, the hook adjustments (which means not having to pull it over my head to put on/off), the detachable straps, and the fact that the cups do not have obnoxious padding, which is often common in the easy-size comfort wireless bras. The cups seem to have a double layer of sturdy stretchy material, which is enough for my needs (but might not hide nipple headlights for some). All in all, I like this bra and will buy more. I took one star off my review for the problems with the Amazon website, which the Curvy Cortoure shop should monitor better for accuracy. I originally ordered a 3XL from the drop-down selection, but received a 3XL+ model (the plus is for wider cups (G) and was too loose on me). After speaking with Amazon Help, I actually had to order the 3XL+ model in order to receive the 3XL size (which fits great). Not impressed with having to order the wrong size in order to get the correct size. Anyway, I'm happy with the 3XL bra that fits correctly. (Addendum: after this review posted, you can see that the size listed at the top of the review says 3XL plus, which is what I had to order to get the 3XL size I actually wanted. I'm not sure if the Curvy Couture Store will fix this tech issue or not---so if you order this bra, be sure to check that the size you select in the drop-down menu is the same as what comes up in the item description in your Cart. If the sizes listed in both areas do not match, then you will probably have the same issue I had.) In spite of tech issues, this is still a good wirefree bra that feels comfortable to me. Read more

Comfortable but not supportive

Gansett3June 18, 2024✓ Verified purchase

For reference, I am a 38g and 188 lbs and ordered an XL. So I am aware it takes a lot to support my chest. For anyone with a smaller chest, this bra will be great! But for me, it did not work. The bra was soooo comfortable, you honestly forget you are wearing one. It wasn’t until I put a shirt on and tried to see how it would look if I wore it out. It couldn’t lift my chest so it looks like I’m wearing a regular sleep bra. Also my it did not flatter my boobs as you can see in the picture. Gave them a terrible shape that I did not enjoy.
