Me: 50+ runner all pavement, approx 20 miles weekly, stability shoe (ravenna 4) I bought my first pair of Stabilyx tights in February once I started running again after a six-year hiatus, primarily for the knee support (too many years in bad shoes and trying to gut through knee discomfort). Best thing I ever did: no knee pain; very little post-run discomfort in other parts - and that, I suspect, from age). I went ahead and filled the drawer with CW-X Experts, Pros and Ventilators, as well as a couple pair of insulators. Since I had/have such great experience with the full-length and capris, I decided to give the shorts a chance. No regrets: the shorts have great compression and ventilate well. I alternate the shorts with the full-length Ventilator tights. No knee problems to date. No binding, chafing or bad package handling. Read more

I ran the November 2017 Indianapolis Monumental Marathon in these, and I trained in them on all runs over 10 miles as well. I hand wash because I want them to last in their awesome original condition. Race day temp was 45 degrees and cloudy with light mist. Perfect for the run. A bit chilly afterward. These were great all summer on training runs, even when over 90 degrees. I never wore other shorts over, modesty was not a problem... shirt and/or race bib aids with coverage. I sometimes wore additional seamless underwear beneath. 5'6" 151 lbs, size small, 59 year old male. I went with compression as I was battling a knee injury all year, and though I felt 95% healed.... I wanted all the protection and advantage I could get. I credit my Boston Qualifying result, and Personal Record to my training program,,,, but honestly feel that I relied on these shorts to get me to the finish line injury and cramp free. They did not let me down. I recovered so quickly, that after an hour rest, I drove myself the 6 hours home with only one gas stop. Compression is firm, not constricting. I honestly never give them a 2nd thought while on a run. Read more

I have been searching for a few months now to replace my old UA's. I used them for about 5 years heavily to work out about 4 days a week. The new version however in my opinion is subpar to the ones I had hence the search for something else that was just as good or better. I tried a bunch of brands, Nike, UA, 2XU, MCDAVID, THERMAJOHN, NOBULL and next I was going to buy North Moore. So now I have 6 new compresion shorts and only NOBULL and 2xu were good enough for me to keep for working out now CW-X in my opinion is the best for my likings. ThermaJohn is really for everyday use but the rest of them will probably sit in the drawer and will never get used. Because North More was voted best by Mens Health Magazine I will buy a pair to try them out but I already know I will be ordering at least 2 more pairs of these CW-X. Its just the right amount of compression, it is long like at I prefer it to be and the draw string design is best to keep the wait band from rolling down although I would prefer it to be on the outside and not in. material is think but not too much, this is the first pair compression shorts I would actually wear without shorts on top as it does offer enough privacy but I won't do it just because i'm very conservative and happen to be blessed in some areas. Order these you will not regret it. These are best by far!!!! Read more

I run a lot and I don't really like running in these. They do give support which is their purpose, but they feel too restrictive to do anything intense. They are better for recovery or if running, easy jogging. Eventually they started to develop a hole in the crotch. I'm still looking for a compression short that I'm okay running in Read more

Ordered this to help with my running but also as a possible recovery too also. Wore it after a half marathon run Friday to sleep, help with recover and my legs felt really good the next day. Wore them today on a half marathon run and my legs felt better than wearing regular non-compression running shorts. As for sizing I am 5'6 and used the chart on their website, and went with a medium as I have large quads, and it fits well, not too tight and by no means feels lose, fit is as good as it gets without being tailored for my build. These are the most supportive compression shorts Iβve tried. And Iβve tried them all. Others that tout medical grade compression might only cover the thighs, and then use more flexible material in the trunk. If you need support throughout the silhouette of the short, this is it. The only issue I have is this mesh fabric they have in the groin area. Itβs meant to ventilate heat, but man, did they have to use the most uncomfortable fabric here? Itβs noticeable at rest and almost itchy. I wish they had skipped the ventilator thing and just used the same material as the rest of the short. Read more

I bought these for marathon training. They are both cool and comfortable, and fit extremely well. I was surprised at how high they want to sit on my body as they come up well above a normal waistline, but that's actually a good thing as it lends support to the lower back and abdominal area. I marked that they fit a little large, and that's a personal preference. While I feel they FIT fine, they are a bit looser than many compression products of this type on the quads. If compression is important to you, you may want to size down. All in all very happy with these. Read more
