If you are shopping for battery backup devices like this DBS1300 then you surely are overwhelmed like I was with the many many offerings that are very similar in performance and price. This review will describe why I settled on Dabbsson and the DBS1300. The product is capable of exactly what it's advertised as able to do. If, you are looking for a review on "is this quality", the answer is: Absolutely. It is well made, feels premium, and works wonderfully. When shopping for one of these batteries / solar generators these were my list of features that I wanted in order of importance. 1. Battery Type - LFP (LiFePO4) batteries are really the only good option here as regular Li-Ion batteries should not be left fully charged. Keeping the battery at 80% to save it's operating life is a terrible option for this application. Further LFP also can cycle 3-5X as many times as LMC type batteries, making the device life much longer. Specifically Dabbsson uses cells they claim have 4500+ cycles before degrading to 80% of it's original capacity. At 4500 cycles, the number may as well be a million as I'll never get close to cycling it 5 times a day for ~3 years. 2. Battery Capacity - I added up all of my expected power draws vs how long I needed to run the device. This is the main cost factor and I ended up deciding that for my desired price point and how long our average power outage is made me seek out batteries with a minimum of 1.0kWH. 3. Power output capability. Again, this is directly related to what devices you want to run and what your use case is. For me I didn't plan to run power tools, or very high peak power devices. I need to recharge cell phones, laptops, lights, and run a small essentials only refrigerator or portable A/C unit. I decided that 1kW continuous was my minimum requirement. 4. Power Input capability. This is driven by your use case. If primarily camping then being able to charge quickly is important. It is highly desirable to be able to quickly charge when the sun is at peak, or when clouds clear up, or quickly charge when you have access to a 120V grid power. If using the battery as a battery backup for the home, then maybe this doesn't matter as much. My requirements led to a desire to be able to fully recharge the battery from the wall socket in around 2 hours, or from already purchased 330W, 60V solar panels. 5. Power ports. My minimum requirement was USB-PD with at least 65W output to charge my Macbook. Addtionally, I wanted a minimum of 4 120V outlets to power other AC devices. The Dabbsson DBS1300's has high quality LFP batteries, it is 1300kWh exceeding my minimum, has a power output of 1200W, can quickly charge on 60V solar cells, or on 120VAC in around an hour, has all the ports I need including a USB-PD with 100w output making it great for laptops. When compared to other devices in the similar price range and battery size (EcoFlow, Bluetti, Jackery, etc). The Dabbsson is a bit less expensive with the tradeoff of offering a lower AC power output than most of the other competitors. For this class, 1200W continuous is quite low when others offer up to 2000W. However, given the larger than average 1300kWh, slightly lower price, excellent power port diversity, and very long life LFP battery cells made me believe that the DBS1300 was the right device for me. TL:DR Overall, I'm shocked at how great this device is for the price (when it's on sale). For my use case of primarily emergency battery backup, and secondary use case of camping. The DBS1300 offers the best combination of features and price with the sacrifice of slightly lower power output capability. I look forward to building out this unit with an additional DBS1300, and 4 DBS1700B's extra batteries to fully utilize this really well made device. Read more

This is a well-constructed and expandable power station. The display is one of the best I have seen, and I have a number of units to compare to. It provides a large amount of power (up to 2200 continuous watts) and does so with just a slight fan noise. My initial test was to hook up my cpap to the 12v plug and to run a Lasko pedestal fan on AC. The 12v cpap uses about 30W and the fan draws 90W. I conducted the test 3 times. Each time the AC would shut off with the overload symbol after about 5 minutes. DC power remained unaffected. The next day I decided to see if the AC inverter doesnโt work. More testing. I ran a vaccum for about 15 minutes straight to vaccum the living room under load. This varied between 800 and 1000W. I did this several times rotating through all 5 plugs. No errors. I also ran a rice cooker for a cooking cycle, using about 500 continuous watts for approximately 30 minutes. I then used a hairdryer on all settings, drawing up to 1,900 watts. I repeated on all outlets. Finally, I attached the fan again, but without also running 12v. It ran the 90W fan flawlessly for almost an hour. Charging without the app runs either at a very fast pace well over1,000w, or by sliding the lever down on the side it will charge at about 490W. Both worked fine. For less stress on the system I will reserve fast charge for whwn I really need it. I plan to update this when I have charged via solar and conducted a few more stress tests to determine if I have a reliable unit or not. So far it seems fine after the initial hiccups. The biggest downside is this thing is heavy! Thatโs why I titled this the way I did. This is a power outage or limited home backup power station. You arenโt taking this thing anywhere casually. It will be even more cumbersome with the additional batteries. Looking forward to adding one of those to this as well. Overall I recommend this! UPDATE 8/26/2023 I already tried this update a week ago and nothing posted here goes again. The first week of August I had an electrical problem where a short had knocked out power to a spare bedroom. I use the bedroom for a 5000 BTU window air conditioner to help out the central air. Here in South Louisiana we have been through over 45 days straight of brutal heat of 95 or more, with 13 days over 100. Very unusual for us, since our normal summer high is about 92. While I awaited the electrician for several days I still needed that AC. I used this Dabbson and another brand, switching them each out while the other charged. I got nearly 4 hours out of a charge on the Dabbson while leaving 20%. I switched them out like this for 4 days. Dabbson made an outstanding unit that bad no problems with the AC startup, did not overheat (indeed half the time no fan was running, and half the time just one). It just did what I asked of it. Very pleased. Read more

I can't express how thrilled I am with my recent purchase of the Dabbsson Portable Power Station! This little powerhouse has completely transformed my experience living completely off-Grid, and I couldn't be happier. First of all, the battery life is simply incredible. I was always concern of running out of juice at the worst possible times, but since I bought Dabbsson Power station those worries are a thing of the past. It holds an impressive charge, keeping my appliances alive and kicking throughout the day and then some! No more frantic trying to conserve energy during cloudy winter days. The build quality of the Dabbsson Battery is also top-notch. It feels solid and durable in my hand, and I'm confident it will withstand the test of time. The sleek and compact design makes it easy to carry in my bag or pocket without adding extra bulk, and the LED indicator lights let me know how much charge is left, so I'm never caught off guard. Another feature I love about the Dabbsson Battery is its fast-charging capability. It quickly replenishes the battery on my devices, saving me valuable time. Plus, I've noticed that it doesn't heat up excessively during charging. The only thing missing is the 30 amp RV out. I wish they would install this. Overall, the Dabbsson Battery has exceeded my expectations in every way. It's reliable, efficient, and has eliminated the frustration of constantly running out of energy especially over the winter months. I can't recommend it enough to anyone in need of a reliable portable power source. Thank you, Dabbsson, for making my life so much easier and more convenient with this fantastic product! Read more
