Gorgeous & flattering plus sized corset for wide hips
I own dozens of corsets, and this one has earned a top spot in the rotation and gets me a TON of compliments. It's not just a showstopper, it's genuinely comfortable (sitting, standing, laying down, running amok). The wide hip gores and off-the-shoulder design are incredibly flattering on plus size bodies and make it suitable for all-day wear, not just a quick strut and done. For a steel-boned corset, I consider it a 8/10 on the comfort scale, which is impressive. I typically only get that from underbusts. The full boning gives you a gorgeous, structured silhouette without feeling like you are being punched in the gut. It is easy enough to self-lace, and it can be worn with the modesty panel or with the panel flipped in (like I do) without discomfort or added bulk. This corset is perfect for pirate festivals, Renaissance fairs, steampunk looks, or just grocery shopping on a Tuesday when you want to shake things up. It photographs BEAUTIFULLY. The only small downside is that the shoulder straps ARE fixed length and have a tendency to slip around. This is pretty common with reproduction styles though. If you use a chemise it won't be a problem. If you're going without just use a little body tape or let the sleeves go. It looks very cute, it can just catch if you're moving your arms a lot.
