I am absolutely in love with this product! Being very, very pale, I usually struggle to find any kind of tinted sunscreen that works for me, but this one matches my skin perfectly. When you first apply it, it looks tinted, but it quickly melts in and becomes one with your skin. It gives you this really elegant, pearlescent glow and helps tone down redness, which I appreciate so much. Because it is a serum consistency, it feels super light and soothing, not greasy at all. It also has such a lovely, light scent that makes applying it a joy. I usually wear it under my makeup, but honestly, it makes my skin look so pretty that I often wear it on its own for a natural look. It is a little bit of a splurge, but thinking of it as a sunscreen, a glowy primer, and a light makeup base all in one makes it totally worth the money. I had trouble finding it in stock for a while, so I really hope they never stop making this gem! Read more

no white cast. apply directly after your cream and it blends in seamlessly. feels silky as you rub it in then leaves a glow on the skin. but, i wouldn’t recommend waiting until your skincare dries before putting it on or you’ll be rubbing your face a lot longer. those who have really oily skin might have to avoid using this. it has a smell, it’s not strong but it’s a bit lemony (not in a chemically way). I’ve been trying the d’Alba UV Essence Waterfull+ SPF 50+ lately, and I get why people like it — it’s just easy to use. The texture is really light. No heavy, greasy layer, no sticky finish — my skin just feels comfy and hydrated. It also has this soft, fresh citrusy scent. It’s not loud or perfumey, just a clean little “fresh” moment when you apply it, and then it disappears pretty quickly. And honestly, my favorite part: makeup goes on top of it really well. My foundation doesn’t slide around, it doesn’t pill, and everything looks smooth instead of patchy. Read more

This is an update to my original review: I truly do enjoy this sunscreen, but unfortunately, I’m finding that it pills when or if I use any type of serums under it. I’ve gotten it to work successfully with a very light toner, but if I add anything more on my face, this product pills. I do enjoy the scent and will continue using it on my neck and chest, but for the face- it’s unfortunately a fail:-(. Original review: I love the scent of this sunscreen. It is light and not overpowering. The sunscreen blends in easily with no overcast and is a pleasant, light texture. Each time I use this sunscreen, I feel like I’m using a luxurious high-end product from a spa. I gave it 4 stars in place of 5 because I’ve experienced pilling here and there, but not consistently. I think this might be from a new vitamin c serum I’m trying, but don’t know for sure. I have dry skin and use this in place of moisturizer as the last step in my skincare routine. It feels plenty moisturizing yet not heavy at all. So far, I really like it. Read more

I’ve been using d’Alba sunscreen for a while now, and it’s honestly one of the best sunscreens I’ve tried. The texture is lightweight and smooth, making it super easy to apply without feeling greasy or heavy on the skin. It absorbs quickly and leaves a natural, healthy glow without any white cast. I though this would be similar to Missha Sun Milk bit nope, I was wrong. Pros: - easy to apply; - absorbs relatively fast; - does not sting around eyes; - doesn't peel if applied liberally; - great under makeup; - moisturizing and even dare I say pore filling / evens the skin texture a bit. Cons: - white cast so gives off Casper the friendly ghost vibes big time unless your skin tone is porcelain - then it would be great; - citrus scent that lingers for a while (reminds me of Banana Boat Protection Vitamins scent but stronger + terrible white cast); - I found it challenging to wash off at the end of the day so double cleanse is a great idea here. Final thoughts: overall a good sunscreen if you use it under makeup. Unless your skin is porcelain/fair, this will leave white cast. My skin tone is light to light medium in summer (between ivory and beiges) and this has noticeable white cast. For deeper skin tones will definitely look crazy unless you top it off with makeup Read more

It does get the job done. It definitely tones up your face, and I'm trusting the sunscreen part. The only issue is that this TONES up your face, meaning if you put a dab of the cream, it's really pigmented and causes your face to be really white. Still, if you have red spots, it will neutralize them, not significantly like doing color correction, but enough to the point where if you put concealer over it, it would be enough. Not a bad product. Read more
