I needed a fan for my desk that would dry my brow in the summer, but not blow papers around my space- this DaMohony Desk Fan is perfect for that. It doesn't take up much space at all, is very quiet, charges quickly and runs for less than a full work day, but more than I need in one day (we ladies of a certain age are only heated in flashes, not consistently.) My desk decor has gold and white accessories so it even matches, which might be an oddly specific coincidence for but a few. What I don't care for is that you can put it in two directions: straight at you or at a 90-degree angle which means you have to find the perfect place for it then don't move. The "multiple modes" are fast or slow, or fast or slow but with lights. You can set it to medium, but only with a green light on steadily (which I find obnoxious and distracting on my desk.) To adjust between modes you simply turn the entire fan, which is kind of a cool feature, if I'm being honest, but to turn it off you have to sit it up on either its face or its base which isn't difficult but kind of odd. The media could not be loaded. This DaMohony desk fan does a good job of putting out a good airflow to keep me cool. It has two positions, one with a straight forward facing, and one with it tilted back with air pushing up at about a 42 degree angle. While running the fan can change colors which is okay, but I prefer to keep the lights off so the battery will last longer. It charges with a USB C type cord, and if you are sitting near a receptacle it can be plugged in and run, I assume without concern for the battery getting low. I have not run it long enough plugged in to be sure. I did read one review that stated it could not be run while plugged in but that isn’t my experience. To turn it off, it simply is placed face down. The five legs allow it to be turned and each turn has an effect on the fan. At one place it will run on low speed, a turn to another set of legs will increase to medium speed, then high speed, another will run with lights and another without lights. It is not overly large but the wind velocity output is very good. It is easily portable so can be used in the car, while sitting outside, or in a building such as a doctor’s office. It does make a little noise but I haven’t owned a fan that did not create some noise while pushing wind through it, so that is expected. But I do not find it overly loud and it is easy to adjust to it. I am very satisfied with this fan and do recommend it. Read more
The design is nice, and I thought having a fan that turns on only when I am next to it would be great, but oh man, this thing does not work. It arrived broke, the fan part had pulled away from its casing and when the fan bothered to turn on, it skittered around and didn't work as a fan, I tried to get it back onto the holder, but I would have to cut into the fan to get to it since there was no way to take it apart to fix. The sensor doesn't work at all, it is completely random when it turns on, and when it does, it doesn't stay on, so yeah, complete failure in all ways. Read more
The media could not be loaded. Nice little personal fan with no remote control nor is there any kind of switch or button on the fan. You turn this fan on/off by placing it either up or down 100%, even a slight angle can set the fan to go off, depending on the rotation on the fan will dictate how the speed of the fan as well as if it has a light show with it, I included a video however I should mention I sped up the speed of the video to be able to upload it. You can also get a sense for how loud it is from the video as well. This is not my personal favorite go-to fan as far as a desk-type fans would go but it is something new, different and it does work and is rechargeable via a mini USB connection so it can go cordless for only about maybe 2 hours tops when fully charged but it's still a nice feature. Great value if you need a small budget personal fan, if you can spend a few extra bucks I'd keep looking to be honest. Read more
This thing is pretty cool, but a bit gimmicky. It works well and has a strong airflow, but the control scheme is pretty unwieldy and somewhat inconvenient. As a static desk fan, it works great. Due to the motion-sensitive controls, it won't fare well as a portable fan. Read more
I was expecting great things for what this little fan costs. I was not impressed. You can't use the fan while it's charging so use time is limited. The stronger the mode you use, the less time it will work. No on/off switch. As soon as you put it down, it turns on. To turn it off ... lay it flat. Weird. It's also not really adjustable. You have to turn the entire fan (not a big deal) in the direction you want it to blow. And, it doesn't adjust up or down. There are multiple colors, depending on how strong the wind blows (hahaha). Each color represents a strength. This works entirely on sensors. The concept is good. Execution is faulty. For what this costs, I wouldn't recommend it. I ended up getting a fan that costs 1/3 of this one, does more and has better features that actually work well. Read more
I have been enjoying this fan the past few days. It is small and perfect for single person usage. I put it on my table and it brings a lot of air through. To stop, I just lay it face down on the table. Pretty straight forward usage for on/off. I don't understand other people being confused on its instructions. There are multiple speeds which are based on the angle of the fan. That part can be limiting if you are sitting in a particular way and need to arrange the fan in a way to get a higher or lower speed. It's also portable so you can take it on the go if you can get the fan angle set. The colors are fun and it charges pretty fast. Good way to save money on your A/C bill. Read more
