This shelf appears to be anodized aluminum which indeed makes it very rustproof but there is a bit of a rattle with the way the bottom is attached. Since they don’t actually give a weight limit in the product listing (just an illustration with two random weight dumbbells stacked on it), I definitely wouldn’t try to overload this with much more than 10 lbs. The sturdiness of it is also dependent on how well it’s mounted so, if you’re planning on mounting this in a tile shower for instance, you need to be sure there’s wood backer to secure it to (and definitely seal up your mounting holes). If you’re using this elsewhere (not in a wet area), the same logic applies since the mounting holes are spaced short of standard 16” stud spacing (at a random 8 1/4” apart) but at least you wouldn’t have to seal up the mounting holes. Since I’m using this as an additional small accessory shelf in my shop (which has a plywood wall surface) this will go exactly where I want it and should hold up fine in that environment. I also wouldn’t trust the included plastic expansion anchors on any hollow wall surface but the threaded brass washers and caps/screw head covers are nice…haven’t seen that before and they actually work (as opposed to the usual plastic snap-on version that never actually stays put). Overall, this is a pretty well made lighter duty shelf with what appears to be a good rust/corrosion resistant surface…just be wary of where and how you mount it and how much weight you place on it (especially since no accurate limit is provided). I obtained this Dancrul Shower Caddy floating shelf to use in my office. -I have the 12" size (comes in 12" and 16"). -The shelf is made of aluminum with a black coating that looks nice. -The bottom has holes so if you're using it in your shower it will drain. -It has a nice lip on the edge to keep your precious items from falling off. -The shelf can be anchored to the wall with included screws through two holes in the back. This has a nice black finish to it. I doubt I will use in shower as i originally had intended as I don’t really want to drill into tile and with the spacing of holes I definitely can not hit 2 studs. Don’t want to have everything crashing down on my tile floor. Instead I will use this in garage where i can secure it better. It seems well made and covers for screws are a nice touch. Read more

I’m not using this in the kitchen or bathroom. I’m not sure how drilling into the shower wall would work. But the shelf is sturdy and lightweight metal. I don’t think it can hold a lot of weight simply because of how the screws hold just the short back side. So don’t put something heavy in it or something that could break that’s irreplaceable. The caps on the screws are a nice touch, especially for use around water. I think it would be perfect if it had a little more support on the wall. Read more

There is no doubt that this metal shelf has been engineered and constructed to last forever. That said if you are looking for commercial grade/style, this is it. This elongated shelf comes with the necessary hardware needed to install it. This shelf is a true black and has enough slits to keep the water moving during your shower.
