This vest is made to be sturdy and to last. The material reminds me of canvas with its thickness and strength. However it does seem to run a size small. My suggested ordering size was XL but I decided to order a XXL since I prefer to have a bit of room. It’s a good thing that I did as I can just barely fit it. If I had ordered the suggested size, then it would have been a no go. It doesn’t really have much stretch, so it’s a tighter fit than I would have liked, mostly around the chest area. If you’re especially busty, I’d say to pass on this one. Read more

I bought this vest previously in a 2xl and returned it because it fit too tight to be able to snap it closed. I ordered the 3xl that just arrived today and it feels the same as a 2xl and still can't snap it closed. Guess it comes one size fits all. This thing is very thick and heavy, feels similar to denim. It will make you hot. Lots of pockets though, and sturdy material that will definitely hold up well for many wears. I wish I would have gone with a medium. When I tried it on, it was a little looser than I wanted and I had/have the intention to lose weight (I was about 180lbs, but then I got pregnant), so when I do, I expect it will just be too large to look very nice on me. It’s very sturdy. I ordered it realizing it may be a Little tight. It looks well made and feels pretty good. There’s a mesh material on the inside to help keep your back cool - I really appreciate that touch. I ordered an XL, and my measurements (before putting on the vest) were: Bust: 41.5 inches Waist: 37.5 inches Hips: 47.5 inches The closures seem solid enough, but I’m not sure how long the material will last…that’s why I’m giving it 4 stars until I can really wear it and test it out! Pay attention to the sizing chart discussed is true to the chart. The measurements are of the best natural body, so measure your favorite jacket compared to the size options available for whichever vest you want and consider giving them 2 to 4 inches extra for East your bodies measurement and also room if you have a sweater under it in a little bit I’ll give where you want to carry in the inner pockets of course . Also pay attention to the measurement for the length if I had to do it over again, I would get the one with the side laces because this goes down to the top of my hips and I would’ve like to have been able to loosen up the laces there so I can flare out a bit… sigh, live in learn!
