This air fryer is awesome! It works great, easy to use, temperature on top but I leave on 400. Large basket, we hardly ever use deep frying grease in a frying pan any longer. Two complaints though...First it's very difficult if not impossible to clean! Not talking about the basket either. This is the second that I bought because the first collected grease inside (we didn't clean it out after every use, so partly our fault), and it started emitting smoke when we used it. When I contact the company about how to take it apart to clean it, they responded to send it to them to fix. Why? I should be able to take a few screws out and clean the internal components myself. So I ended up getting this second one. After about 8 months, the plastic safety cover on the handle that keeps someone from accidentally pressing and disconnecting the basket from the body broke off. Now after 13 months owning it, I accidentally hit that button and the body (the black you see) dropped on the floor leaving me holding the basket. When it hit the floor, it cracked the plastic and bent the front. Though amazon sells replacement basket parts, I don't need that, I need the outer body part. Wanting to see if they sell just the outer body part since the fryer itself and the basket are still in perfect condition, their company says send them an email...waiting 3 days, nothing...send another email bounce undeliverable...send another email bounced, undeliverable...send 4 emails 3 different days, undeliverable, as if they are blocking my email address... Other than impossible to clean and no customer support over email as promised, this is a great air fryer. Read more

We received a smaller air fryer a few years back as a Christmas present. We really enjoyed using it for just potato wedges, roasted vegetables, and things like that. It too was small to get too adventurous with. Unfortunately, it broke about two weeks ago! After reading some reviews we settled on the Dash 6qt Air Fryer. This air fryer is huge! Today I finally branched out from potatoes and vegetables and was able to successfully make some chicken wings. They were fabulous! I cooked them frozen right out of the freezer and tossed them in some teriyaki sauce... Fabulous! Air fryers are great little kitchen gadgets. This one is a little on the larger side, but it fits a good amount of food in it. Can't fit it in a cabinet? You're in luck! It comes in some wild colors and looks nice in the counter (we purchased teal). The fryer has a simple interface without all the silly pre-programmed buttons that others come with (never used them!). Set the temp, set the time, and go! The fryer also feels pretty sturdy and it has been easy to spray clean and wipe down. The booklet it came with says that it's dishwasher safe, but I feel the longevity of most non-stick surfaces is best if you treat them gently. Recommended! Read more

I have discovered a whole new world of cooking! Not only are there all kinds of cool meals you can make in this thing, you can also make all the hum-drum frozen things in this air fryer FASTER than you did in the oven. So far, I have really just made wings and cooked frozen things from the freezer, but I am blown away. The wings were amazing and the frozen things were all way better than they are when they come out of the oven. They are crispier and get done a lot quicker. As for the device itself, this thing is a beast! Granted I did not read the dimensions of the appliance, but I was quite shocked at how big it is. That being said, it does not look unattractive on the counter. I purchased the black one and it is a very large egg shape. The basket is easy to release and everything cleans up easily. The things I have made so far, though, really haven't made much of a mess. One note - pay attention to the sticker on the front that says not to press the release button without having a support under the basket. My dumb butt, in my excitement to unpack the device, was like I wonder what this does?. Slide off the cover, push the button and out dropped the basket. Fortunately I caught it on the first bounce after glancing off the counter and there was just a slight ding in the bottom. I looked over after that and saw the sticker warning me to not do the dumb thing I just did. lol. Anyway, be careful releasing the basket because the metal is not super thick and I imagine a good drop to the ground would ding it up pretty good. So bottom line - this air fryer is awesome. It's my first one, so I don't have much to compare it to, but I can definitely say that I like it. Of all the appliances I have bought for the kitchen, this one goes right up there with the egg cooker. They both seem gimmicky, but both are awesome and well worth owning! Read more
