I have counter space again! As most people know, counter space is a premium and being able to double my counter space by upgrading my air fryer from my older model was a no brainer. It's easy to use, but reading the instructions first is recommended because it is touch screen - if touchscreens aren't your thing you're not going to like this model as much as knob based ones, but I love the ease of cleaning with it's smooth surface all around. It cooks quickly and doubles as a grilling surface which is great savings and increases the functionality of the fryer which means less things I need on my counter (more space!!!!). Cleaning is super easy which I love. The first time I used it there was a smell, but if I had read the instructions (definitely should have) they warned about that and recommended washing, running a cooking cycle with no food, and washing again - so that error was on me for failing to read and follow directions. I have not had the issue on subsequent uses and I use it nearly weekly. Read more

So far so good! This is my first air fryer and it couldn't be easier to use. This is almost like the adult upgrade to the easy bake oven. 2 weeks into owning this I've cooked up crispy tofu, apple chips, bread, chicken, and that's just the beginning. Looking forward to trying the grill functionality and making more interesting things in the coming months! Recommend for anyone with a small apartment and very little counter space. Read more

Interesting idea to combine a grill and an air fryer using the same heat source. Both seem to work as intended Read more

I own a couple of air fryers. This one, the 7-qt model, is the first larger-capacity fryer I have owned. My initial impression was that the design was simple and sleek. It is very light and almost feels like a toy, but it also feels well-made at the same time. As an air fryer, it preheated fast for me. At the max temp of 400, it takes 2-3 minutes to preheat. The cooking was very even and fast, like an air fryer should be. The large, deep basket holds a lot of food. And a large deep basket also permits tossing and shaking of your food to get nice even browning. See my picture of frozen French fries turned golden brown as proof. You can adjust the time and temp while it is cooking, BUT, and this is my only complaint, you can't adjust the time or temp while it is preheating. Because of the grill function, it is designed to be split into two. The cooking lid can be removed easily using a pair of cooler-like latches. Once removed, you flip the cooking lid over and place it top down on the flat surface. Then drop the included grill pan on it. The oven detects that you have "flipped the lid," and the controls transform into the grilling mode. I cooked a steak and it came out perfectly rare in the center with a good char outside. So it gets hot enough to cook a thicker steak like I did perfectly. But I do think if you tried a thin steak, the inside might be done before you got the outside nice and brown. It does not get searing hot, but it does get plenty hot. A huge handle on top makes carrying it around easy. And this is good because we take it with us on our RV. This little grill allows us to grill inside when the weather does not cooperate. And with a little planning, we find we were cooking over 1/2 of our meals in and on this air fryer and grill. So yeah, I like it a lot, and that earns it 5 stars. Read more

This air fryer works very well. It's super easy to use in terms of the control panel and food turns out nicely. Experiences cooking: - We made a 1 lb. pork tenderloin on air fry mode and it came out cooked perfectly, tender with some nice browning on the outside. - I used the reheat mode at 350 to reheat a slice of pizza and after 3 minutes it was hot but not crispy, so I added 1 minute on air fry at 400 and it was a little crispy but not all the way. Had to stop there or I would've burnt it. - I reheated some leftover restaurant fries using the air fry mode at 355 degrees. They were plenty hot, but not very crispy. Probably should've used a higher temp. Like a lot of air frying, it involves some some experimentation. - To test the grill feature, we grilled a 2" thick sirloin steak on high. Sprayed with a little olive oil as instructed. It turned out great, and we were impressed at how easy it was to get nice grill marks on an electric appliance. Was surprised at how easy it was to flip and how good the nonstick properties are. Despite having a lot of black residue on it afterwards, it was very easy to clean. The only issue is that the instructions say that the flame indicator will come on when it's preheated, but it actually comes on right away, before it's preheated. The way you know when it's preheated is that it changes from saying "PRE" to "HIGH". Pros: - The basket is really big. You could fit a whole chicken in there. - The basket and tray are coated with a great ceramic coating that is very easy to clean. - It's really nice that it also has the grill feature, and they've cleverly built this into the device. The top half of the cooker comes off, and you flip it over to reveal the grilling surface. Obviously this means that you can't use the grill and the air fryer at the same time. Also, if you have overhanging cabinets, you'll have to pull the entire unit out from under them in order to get at the grill. - The temperature adjustment goes up and down in 5 degree increments, which allows you to be precise, although it also means more presses to get where you want to be. (The N-brand one jumps up & down in uneven increments.) Cons: - The fan noise is louder than my previous air fryer. - The little rubber corners that hold the tray in the basket work well now, but feel like they could come off easily and may not last very long. - Although it has 5 modes - Air Fry, Roast, Bake, & Reheat plus Dehydrate - they don't provide any information about the differences between them or when to use each, which is frustrating. - When you start it, it preheats for a pretty long time before it's ready. It takes 2 minutes to get to 350 degrees, and it took a full minutes to get from 350 to 400, which is longer than I'd expect. Our last air fryer (the N-brand) did not preheat at all; it just started cooking right away, so you had to adjust the cook time to accommodate that. Read more
