David Tate Womens Branson Wide Shaft Boot

I have one calf that is larger than the other. One calf is 17 inches and the other is 15.5. I have searched for 20+ years for a pair of boots that not only fits both of my calfs well but makes it appear that my calves are the same size when wearing my boots. It has been really hard to find and for the most part I end up settling for stuffing my legs in a mid calf boot which looks somewhat decent but you can see my left calf spilling out of the boot. Not ideal but I love boots and always have. These boots have ended my search. They do have a panel on the back that is made up of some strechy stuff- not sure what it is but it is like a strechy, fake leather but I actually like it and when I showed my husband he zeroed in on that panel and thought it was super cool actually. At 17 inches on my left calf the panel is streching a tad in the middle, not really at the top, so if you have calves that are bigger than 17 inches keep that in mind. You will more than likely be using that panel to your advantage to have these boots fit but my educated guess is that even at 18 inches these will fit comfortably. Amazing boots for my large calves. Really cool zipper. Have held up well with lots of walking, have withstood rain with no probs. They don’t have a lot of support, but feel good with thicker socks. The only issue I have had is that they do bunch around my ankles after a few hours because the shaft is so wide all the way down, but they are totally worth it! I’ve gotten lots of compliments! They started loosing the black color on the expandable portion and it had white sections after wearing them once. I wore them a few more times and it quickly got worse. I put them in my husbands car to be returned and he forgot however they were not wore again. Once I returned them they only gave me $9.60 back out of the $159.00 I paid for them and charge a huge restocking fee to justify it. DO NOT buy from them they are horrible boots and then they ripped me off. I would give zero stars if I could. I ask for the boots back since I was already paying for them and have never heard from them. Read more

I am 33 years old and have never been able to find a pair of knee high boots that fit me properly. I have a small, but wide foot, and need a boot to fit my wide calf. These boots work perfectly and I was able to stand for 4 hours straight in these boots with no pain! They stretched to fit my foot comfortably, and the calf was a little tight for the first 10 minutes, but I was able to get them zipped and they stretched as the night went on and felt great too. I would highly recommend these boots to people with wide feet and wide calves (over 18 inches)! I would also definitely buy these again or in another color, if available. Read more

This is my second pair of these boots. These are made of good quality leather, do not look cheap and are super comfortable. I have 18" calves and I have plenty of room for jeans. I live in Minnesota, where they use salt on the roads during Winter. Since the salt is awful on leather, I have to get a new pair of these every two years. I found that treating t these with a water repellent spray really helped. Just hoping that they never stop making these boots! Read more

Beautiful boots, truly! I have had them for a few months now and are well made. The main reason I got these was for the extra wide circumference and style and they didn’t disappoint. I have 19” calves and am a size 10. The 10XW fit me just right, the zipper was just a hair snug going up, but the boots are stretching out. The back embellishment with the stretch is everything!!! If you can splurge, definitely do it. Read more
