Customers find this tea has a naturally sweet flavor that's not bitter and appreciate its organic ingredients, particularly the certified organic chamomile. Customers disagree on the tea's strength, with some describing it as really strong while others say it's not a strong cup of tea.

Good, low oxalate solution.

Tek NickelJanuary 14, 2026

I got this because I am focusing on low oxalate items to take some pressure of the kidneys. As it turns out, drinking quarts upon quarts of standard black tea is really bad on the oxalates. White peony tea is the opposite. This tea is reasonable. I don't really notice an enhancement or anything to awareness I get from black tea, but this is still something to sip on while doing other things. It doesn't have any overwhelming flavor profile. Its just chill tea. Its going to take me a while to get through this bag. A pound of this stuff would fill a gallon container, maybe more. Read more

I'm a repeat buyer

DWFDecember 9, 2025

Color and quality seem good. Good smell. Brewing time is the recommended 5 minutes using a OXO BREW Twisting Tea Ball Infuser (highly recommended). Ease of use? Why is that even an issue? Dip tea ball infuser and scoop. Insert into cup. Wait 5 minutes. Good tea. It has enough of a strong flavor without being overwhelming. Best of all? No plastics that you find with tea bags. The bag seal is reliable. Taste is pleasant. Goes well with the brown sugar cubes I use. I find it best to put the brown sugar cubes in first and then pour the hot water in with the tea infuser inserted. Using my tea infuser to complete the dissolving of the sugar. Works like a charm. Family members like the tea. I like the tea. Again, flavor is pleasant. Caffeine content? If I have a caffeine headache, no tea works for me. It's the soda. I do find that this I can use this tea as a substitute for soda, which is quite welcome. Read more

Amazing Earl Grey!!

B from MahopacDecember 18, 2025

I have been using Stash Earl Grey for years and stumbled upon this one and thought I'd give it a try since it's Organic. WOW!! Loved it on the first sip, it is really strong compared to other Earl Greys I have tried. I just love it, tastes great!! I went out of my way to write a review for this product since I enjoy it so much, also it's a great price compared to Stash and other brands.. I will continue to purchase this brand from now on. The best I have had

Dean HedgeJanuary 5, 2026

The quality is as good as you can expect outside of hand produced batches that are far more expensive, but the taste is there! This is a very strong tea. 2-3 grams is all it takes to make a perfect 8-10 oz cup, this is the magic ratio. It's worth using a scale to get this right. A bag goes a very long way so I recommend filling a small ziplock bag at a time to keep the tea fresh. I first had this tea at a restaurant & kept going back just to have a cup. I finally asked what it was one day and the owner brought me a bag of Davidsons and I have been loving life a lot more! It can get give me a boost in the morning, but also calm my mind in the evening. It's my magic elixir! Read more

Smells amazing

EveDecember 6, 2025

Awesome for simmering on the stove. Haven't actually used it in food yet but but from simmering it you can tell it has very heavy notes of orange and cinnamon. Read more

Should have called it Maple

Ingrid GNovember 23, 2025

Tastes much more like maple than vanilla, it's not bad but I don't find myself wanting to drink it. The ingreidents seem to be quality, maybe it will grow on me. Rooibos always smells a little like tobacco to me, with the maple even more so. I don't usually mind that. It might be the stevia makes it bit too sweet. Read more

Very good. I can drink this 24/7 (with sweetener).

HalloweenWeedDecember 8, 2025

The only decaffeinated loose breakfast black tea I can get in quantities that make it affordable for me. Tastes great too. Uses what I consider the only decaffeination method I would accept (see below). Other method actually dilutes flavor due to addition of water and doesn't decaffeinate enough. From the website: "Davidson's decaffeinated teas go through a natural CO2 extraction process, also called effervescence. This process maintains tea flavor and antioxidant levels." Read more

Good casual tea for roasted ooolong drinkers

A. BaxterDecember 3, 2025

If you are a tea enthusiast looking for gongfu tea, you shouldn't be looking for it from any of these large US brands, this one included. Even the specialty sellers on Amazon are mostly selling commercial-grade (i.e., mid-grade) tea. If you can enjoy casual teas for what they are, then this one is quite good. It is mostly broken up leaf. It's high oxidation, making it closer to a black tea than a green tea, with some roasting. The result is a relatively sweet and earthy tea that is smooth and malty, with some subtle fruity (maybe dried fruit) undertones, without the acidity or tartness of a black tea. Good, velvety texture. Most importantly, it's a satisfying tea that feels good in the stomach. I would recommend making this tea using a wire basket or strainer, because there are fine bits that would pour through the larger holes of a completely ceramic teapot or infuser mug. I'm a gongfu tea enthusiast, but I also drink stuff like this, made in an infuser mug, for something that's simple but tasty while I'm doing other things, and save the good stuff for the times that I can really appreciate them. It's a casual tea, but if you like darker oolongs with basic roast, then this can scratch an itch without dipping into the expensive stuff. Read more
