I prefer coffee that tastes sweeter. This coffee does not have sweet notes to it but instead has a strong, nutty flavor. It's very bitter. I recommend not to drink it black, even if you usually drink coffee black. Unless you prefer a strong, nutty taste, add some sugar or stevia to your drink and it will round the flavor out. This flavor is unique and I do recommend it if you like the strong, nutty, earthy taste combined with some sweet, which surprisingly I do. I used some Chobani and Nestle coffee creamer to add flavor, and the sweet cream/French vanilla combo added to the strong coffee taste actually made my drink taste like a marshmallow, which was quite delightful. I won't buy again - to me, "donut coffee" smells good, is a bit sweet even without milk or sweetner and not too acidic....to me, the coffee is not that. It smelt burnt so I curiously opened an unused kcup- definitely sufficient coffee in the cup, just seemed a little too dark for "medium roast". If you're a fan of a darker medium in your coffee, this is a cost effective choice for home or small work office. Read more

I love coffee and was on a search for something new to try and stumbled upon this brand. I like to try all roast options brands offer, so went with the medium roast first. The pricing per cup was amazing. It is a rarity to find this much coffee at such an affordable price. I typically drink dark roast, but let me just say that this particular medium roast was fulfilling to my taste buds. Drinking it black was bittersweet yet enjoyable. I tried it with a splash of cream and it paired beautifully. I had 2 cups of it with a pastry and that was a fantastic choice as well, in that case, it was black. I love love love The fact that it didn't give me the jitters, or I didn't feel the crash feeling that coffee can bring. My only thing to say negative, which is not really negative, is that it's not as aromatic as I would like it but it did not take away from the drinking experience at all. I've been very happy with the Day to Day Donut Blend. Being a busy mom, I've gone back to using the Keurig for ease and it's hard to find coffee pods that are high quality with great flavor and don't taste like they're coming out of a vending machine! So far the Donut Blend does not disappoint. It has that "diner-quality" coffee flavor that I love and takes me out of my house for a second and alone in a booth enjoying my cup of coffee. You also can't beat the price. Many competitors are much more expensive, you run out within a week, and they just don't taste great. I'll admit I'm a total coffee snob, I usually drink pourovers made from expensive beans so I have high standards. But I have a toddler now and can't be grinding beans super loud first thing in the morning or during nap time lest I wake the beast, so I'll settle for k-cups until he's awake. I brewed this coffee at 10oz, 8oz and 6oz. I usually like my coffee black and a little weaker but I actually liked this best brewed at 6oz. Not quite bad, not quite good, it dances on the edge of mediocrity with a distinct papery and tobacco-y flavor profile that feels like sipping on the pages of a well worn book. 5 stars because as far as single serve coffee goes it's as good as it gets!
