I originally ordered these in a small. Which was recommended in the sizing chart for me. Tried them on. Lost will you live. Returned and ordered mediums. Still very tight. Movement minimum. The other issue was where if I go into aero position on the bike I will be disqualified for indecent exposure. I remember the women’s low rider jeans fad and apparently De Soto wants to relive that time. Also didn’t receive them till after return date. So now I guess I won’t waste my money and walk around the house traumatizing my family. Read more

I bought these shorts short time before my full IM as my old ones (another great brand) gave out due to wear and tear. Due to availability issues with my true and tested product I had to find an alternative and landed with these DeSoto shorts. The low cut on the waist was not my preference but ended up working out just fine. I also personally prefer shorts that have a longer inseam but both of these ‘issues’ I was aware of at time of buying. These shorts are comfortable and provide good compression. I purchased my regular size - medium (for 5” 10/175lbs). The chamois is providing good cushioning at the right spots and performs in aero position as well as upright. I used these shorts in my first full Ironman and have no complaints whatsoever. The four pockets provide plenty of room to store gels and bars and I would have missed them had I not have them.
