Looks and plays amazingly. The music and atmosphere are top notch. Plays like you remember if you played with the original but feeels like a new game. A lot of new surprises . Only con I have would be the out of place sexuality preference of a particular character that feels out of place. Read more

This was a game I grew up playing, my fiance had never played it so I got it for him. The remastered version is great. Nostalgia at its best. Didn’t come broken or have any scratches! Read more

I always loved the original and have played it several times since its release in 2008. I was skeptical about whether we needed another version of it. After finishing this, and going back and playing the original again, I think the is enough value here to justify it's existence. The improved graphics and sound makes the game a lot scarier, and I really like some of the changes to the world design. Having the levels connect to each other goes a long way to make the Ishimura feel a little more real. There is also some added side objectives, and I found them to be worth doing. If you never played the original, and like survival horror, than this is a must buy! If you played the original, I would recommend buying this if you were a huge fan like me. Read more

The original Dead Space was already a near-perfect game in every way, and it's not hard to imagine how difficult it would be to remake it. However, the team managed to accomplish this feat and successfully recreated the tension, fear, and fun of gameplay and the exhilarating feeling of annihilating enemies without compromising any of the original game's strengths. Incorporating elements that were popular in Dead Space 2 and 3, the remake can almost be considered perfect. The fact that the protagonist Isaac became more talkative and that the content recorded in the logs is sometimes redundant has generated mixed opinions. Personally, I think it would have been better to leave a little more room for players' imagination. However, these points do not detract from the overall gaming experience and are minor details. I am truly happy to be able to enjoy this masterpiece once again with even more polished, cutting-edge graphics. Read more

A great remaster of the classic game. Everything works gameplay wise but the fact that all of the extra suits are paid dlc is kind of crappy. Don’t make a $70 remake and then charge me for dlc of the stuff that was free in the original game. Read more

I played the original. It was the best game I have ever played. Games were ruined for me after DS1. This remake is better than the original in many areas. Isaac talks now! He spoke probably 2 worlds in the original. One of the big reasons why I liked that game so much. I’m about 3 - 4 hours into it and it’s been fun this whole time. No bugs or glitches or anything bad. Graphics are a major improvement over the original. They tweaked this game in many ways but it’s all subtle and doesn’t take away from the original. They made it better. The best part is that there are hardly any load screens. Transitions between levels is seem less. Just like the original I can’t put the controller down. Read more
