I I should have known this was going to be bad when the game opened by showing the ending and then rewinding. Instead of intrigue, it feels disjointed. What follows is 30 minutes of aimless visual novel wandering where you have no idea what’s going on. Gone is the ability to freely explore and fight enemies like in the first two games. Instead, you get tossed into a stripped-down old school roguelike system that's actually just a quick tutorial- then you’re dumped back into nonstop VN scenes. The cast is foreign to both you and Sayaka, the two protagonists, yet Sayaka is somehow living with Shina, the protagonist from the first game, and she knows everyone. You’re dragged through the beyond boring visual novel sections as an invisible character that only Sayaka can see. And then you’re somehow controlling her in the laborious rogue dungeons, because she’s a doll that’s not actually a doll? So you’re not fighting, you’re not exploring, you’re just stuck reading endless VN text with the occasional interruption of some roguelike dungeons that you’d want to avoid if it wasn’t the only thing interrupting the endless meaningless dialogue. Sound confusing? It is. Sound fun? It isn’t. This isn’t Death end re;Quest 3—it’s a bait-and-switch spinoff that strips away everything fans liked about the series. Read more
I was iffy on the whole dungeon crawler thing, but it wasn't bad. All though...gotta give it 4 stars due to the censorship and no ENG DUB Read more
Third buying, and third time disc loose inside. At least this time the factory seal wasn’t torn like the other two times. Thanks? Read more
Publisher lied for months that there was going to be an English dub for this game. Only after opening the game and thus being unable to return it did I find out that there wasn't a dub. This site still lists wrong information about a non-existent dub. Read more
