Considering the price of this item, it works well. The challenge I had was the springs holding the needles were quite strong and therefore would clamp and hold sections of coffee if used normally. To mitigate, I press a finger against the needles to distort the channel formed by the springs. Read more

If you spent a chunk of money on an espresso maker and are using a subpar plastic tamper/scoop, you are not getting the full benefits of your investment. I've only used this a few times so far, but every time I've gotten a full bodied, consistent shot with the perfect amount of crema. Do yourself a favor and get a real tamper. This produces a much better product without having to exert nearly as much force as the little plastic one requires and you can't beat the price! It's attractive, seems well made, and arrived quickly. If you're still missing those lattes from your favorite coffee shop, you'll wish you'd bought one of these sooner once you try it. Read more
