I purchased two pair of the shoes, one brown and one black. I wore the brown one a couple of times over a period of a 2 weeks . The third time I was going to put them on the medial side wall broke. I wear these shoes at my office and do not put any hard wear and tear on them. I was leaving to go on vacation the next day and put them aside. When I got back I looked at the black pair that I got and it seemed like it would not take much to break them as well. You could see the same part moving easily and stretching the thin man-made material that covered the inside. I looked at similar leather shoes that I have been wearing, however, you could tell a big difference between how the leather shoes would hold together much better than the thin vinyl covering of the Deer Stags. Looking closely at the shoe, on the underside it says "Upper- Simulated Leather, Balance Man Made Material " or in other words the whole shoe is man-made material. Through Amazon I contacted the maker but, I suppose, as I was a couple of days out of the 30 day warranty they did not even return my message even though I plainly described the problem and how it was a workmanship/quality issue. This is my second pair of Stagg shoes that I purchased. The first pair were great for the price, but this pair seemed to be of less quality and the size was a bit off.
