Deerose Womens Gradient Rash Guard UPF 50 Swim Shirts Surfing Top with Thumb Hole

I bought this item to wear in the pool on vacation in 105 degree weather...what kinda vacay is that, you ask? Well that's another story. I can tell you that not only is this a high quality fabric due to it's thickness, but it's also just as cute as pictured. I really need that extra protection when swimming laps in the pool. I've worn other brands that were a lot thinner and I still got burned and they also rode up a lot more when in motion. I don't know how sexy it is, that's for the tadpoles to say, but I did feel like it gave good overage, fit as expected - I think I got a size small and I'm 110 lbs. The value for the money is well worth it - so much that I got one in blue as well. I really LOVE the thumb holes. I keep my hands overed and that's really important but it doesn't impede movement. A PRO TIP for you: make sure you put on with dry skin and take off in the water or you will look like a mummy rising from the dead in the struggle to get it off. Read more

Cute fit and colors. I was concerned about how it would hold up in a pool because the washing instructions said no chlorine bleach, but the colors stayed vibrant through seven days of being in the pool in Cabo. The sun protection was amazing. I burned very easily, and got a severe sunburn (requiring a doctor's care) where the material ended, and not even a tinge of burn where I was covered. Read more

First priority for this was that it keep me from getting sunburn on a five-day river trek. In that regard, it was perfect. On sizing… this does not run small, as many have said. It is a rash guard, so it’s supposed to be tight. Only if you want a looser T-shirt fit do you need to size up. I ordered the medium because everyone had me nervous about sizing, and then it was a fine fit for a T-shirt, but was not fitting the way a rash guard should. I had hoped the sleeves could be used as pictured - with the thumb hole to help protect the backs of my hands - but the sleeves are nowhere near as long as they look in the product images. I do have long arms, so that’s a fact here, but I had to settle for wearing the shirt as a traditional long sleeve. When worn that way, the sleeves were long enough for my longer than average arms, but there was no way of they were going over my thumbs. The fabric is heavy, as others noted, and it does get hot. Fortunately, being in the river most of the day, that wasn’t a factor. If you’re not using this as a water shirt, I would look for something that’s lighter weight and more breathable. I was happy to finally find a Rash Guard Swim Shirt that was in larger Woman’s sizes. Yes, we like to swim and boogie board too! This Rash Guard fit good, with a great length, and was very nicely made. The thickness of the cloth was what you would expect for a rash guard and UPF 50+ too. I loved bright blue with the gradient colors. My only con was that it was almost see though with nothing under it. I was hoping that I could use it instead of a swim top to alleviate one layer. I am a true small. But this runs loose and a little long. If they offered a XS I would have switched it since my main purpose for purchase is water aerobics outside in the sun. Really debating and hoping the smell goes away. This is one of three rash guards I purchased for a beach trip from three different manufacturers. I did not write this review until I had worn the shirt. I bought this one because I love the colors. All three or my purchases were good, but this rash guard is the best quality, launders beautifully, and is comfortable for all day wear. I will get another one from this company, but I will get an XL. I weigh around 154. I bought a Large. It not too tight, and it looks fine, but I think the XL will be a little better. I do not surf or do other water sports that may require a skin-tight fit. I wear a rash guard on the beach to protect my skin from the sun. I like things comfortable but not baggy. Read more
