This "plain Jane" version works very well. The cook chart that comes with the instructions just gives you a "feel" of what time and temperaturd to set for common things you'll be cooking. Tip: I went to AI's "Co-Pilot, to get specfic instrutions for doration and temperature, along with suggeste recipes. The size is compact, but you'll want a larger version is you are cooking for more than 2 people. With only two contorls (for (duration and temperature), it east peasy to use. It's easy to clean, and dishwasher safe. So, most anything you would fry, warm up, or saut'e, this product is well capable. One more think. Most items that you would usually use in an air fryer, has instrutions for an air fryer printed on their packages. Read more

I looked at air fryers for so long, and was so lost about what to get, or whether I even wanted another gadget on my counter. I finally pulled the trigger and got this one on sale, and I can't believe I ever went without one! My most popular request for meals since getting this is steak. I cook it straight out if the freezer and cheaper cuts come out better than any expensive steak on the grill, pan fried, or oven broiled! Brush frozen steak with a little olive oil, season, set air fryer and in a fraction of the time spent over a hot pan/grill/oven you have the juiciest steak! This air fryer is very easy to set, goes up to 400°F, and has a window in the front that I love to look at how things are progressing without having to open and lose heat/interrupt the cooking process. It also has a low heat dehydrate setting that I have not used yet, but was one reason for choosing this model. I have cooked full meals, snacks, baked cakes, reheated foods, fixed chips/cheese curls that had gone a little stale, and everything has come out fantastic. I will say it takes a little adjusting to, and it seems to be a powerful model because initially I cooked some frozen onion rings for the amount of time and temp called for on the onion rings for air frying and they were way too overdone. I have found that I cook things for about half to 2/3 the time most items call for as far as premade frozen stuff. Having the window helps because I can see just how toasted the garlic bread is, or if the cheese is just about to melt out of mozzarella sticks and stop the air fryer, getting perfect results every time, so much better than the oven/toaster/microwave etc. I have had absolutely no issues with this air fryer not performing every time, or with the responsiveness of the touch panel. It is relatively easy to clean, but I keep a piece of foil in the bottom or use silicone liners/pans for most things that are messy such as bacon or steak, and then there is virtually no major clean up. When it does require it, it is easily washed with a small amount of water and soap, or in the dishwasher. Another selling point is that this has a nice sturdy handle attached, and unlike many models I looked at, will not have any issue with the inner basket not attaching or the pins failing. Another thing to keep in mind is that water can get into the area between the window and inside of air fryer basket, so I try to be careful not to get that part submerged, and to make sure it is not dripping water when I go to put it back in the air fryer. I imagine that it is designed this way out of necessity, and it really doesn't add to the difficulty of use or cleaning, so doesn't affect my opinion of the product, but something to be aware of. One last thing to pay attention to. The manual says to make sure there is plenty of room on all sides around air fryer, and it does get somewhat warm when cooking at max temp, so I can see why this is important. I have read reviews of people having air fryers crack their marble counters, so I was concerned, but by making sure it has plenty of room to ventilate I have had no problems. Only once cooking bacon has the air fryer smoked a little, and I found that there was a little grease on the side of the machine where it ventilates and after cleaning that up it stopped smoking. It WAS pretty fatty bacon to be fair lol. I recommend this and even recommended it to my mother who is now cooking for one, has some dietary restrictions, and doesn't have the endurance to spend long times cooking these days. She is going to get this model when it goes on sale again, because she has been impressed with mine. My only regret is waiting so long to get one, and being so confused about the sea of features and models to choose from. I hope this review helps someone avoid that. If you are looking for an air fryer that has versatility, ease of use, for a good price, this is a fantastic candidate. I will update my review if my experience changes. Read more

Enjoying my first air fryer. I just cook for myself, so I opted for a small air fryer. I've been using this one now for about 2 weeks and really enjoying it. I'm sorry I waited so long to get one. This particular one is performing great. However, now I'm thinking I should have perhaps bought a larger one. I can get 1 chicken leg quarter into this one, but not 2. But then again, it's very compact and fits under my hanging cabinets. Final item: there's no 'basket' within the main basket. There's just a 'plate' that sits into the basket with 4 little silicon tabs to hold it. I'm quite afraid one of those tabs will break or be lost and then the whole thing will be sus. Read more

I specifically searched for a 1-person air fryer that a senior citizen could easily learn to use. And it has delivered. She didn't need all the bells and whistles of complicated air fryers - just a small appliance that fits on a counter in a very small kitchen. Very easy to operate - only the power, temperature, and time digital buttons. And the drawer is light weight and perfect for someone who can't lift a heavy item. She uses it daily now and loves reheating food and cooking small items. Our only complaint, and this is a recommendation to Deime, is to make the digital display much brighter - it is a bit hard to see the temperature and time display. Read more
