Great value for a GTX1660 laptop
Disclaimer: I've had this laptop for only a week, so I will update my review if something changes with its performance. I've been running Monster Hunter World and MOBAs and it runs great. A few frame drops, but only during the most high intense action (my internet is also not the most reliable either) Try to get this on sale around $780 and it's great, great value. In my opinion, the most important thing about this laptop is the GTX1660 to run even the most modern games (albeit on lower settings for the most recent ones). It is a MaxQ design graphics card compacted for laptops, not the standard one for desktops, so keep that in mind. You might find other laptops for $1200 with a worse graphics card. Everything else is just fluff. Don't let inflated CPUs, HDDs, and SSDs rip you off. Higher end games are GPU heavy over CPU usage and 512 GB is a good amount of memory. I believe you can upgrade computer parts like RAM as well. As a general rule of thumb, don't bother using gaming laptops without keeping it plugged in. You'll never reach the advertised battery life anyway. I would not recommend this for video editing. You would need a better CPU, RAM, memory, and screen. This one seems to be a bit dim even on max brightness. The laptop does run hot, so I would suggest a cooling pad or raising it up on some blocks to have better bottom air flow. The keyboard feels fine, not as flimsy as some online reviews have said. Always open the laptop by raising the middle of the lid. Don't open by raising one corner because the center hinge design is absolutely atrocious and might break if you look at it the wrong way. Not worth the risk. Take good cleaning care of your laptop every 6 months and it will take care of your gaming needs. Read more
