Dell Latitude D610 Laptop CD-RW DVD Wireless Computer

I'll have to admit I was leery of purchasing a refurbished laptop on line but is destined to live in my vacation home in Mexico so it's not being used every day. The computer arrived on my door step right on time. It worked right out of the box! It looks almost new. And XP is easier for casual users than Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8! And the price is/was right! I'll be happy if this computer lives for two years. I'll be back to buy another one. Individuals who say that they can't afford a personal computer should check this out. The product arrived as advertised and was in good working order with no damage. It took a while for me to remember how to work Windows XP again but it eventually came back to me. I purchased it for a five year old grandson who is insatiable about computers. It is perfect for him to learn on and the pre-loaded games were a plus. He gets a supervised hour a day on it unless his behavior is off track. He loves it. Read more

Got my laptop today, was shipped quickly. Before I even received it I emailed the seller with some questions and was met with quick responses and the seller was very helpful. VERY happy with this laptop and with the customer service I received. I will definitely order again in the future and will recommended them to family/friends! ~~This is an update to my previous review. I forgot to mention also the price. So affordable for people who could never afford to buy brand new. I am so very happy with this laptop so far. It is everything it was said to be. Some people gave reviews about these particular laptops and nitpicked a lot of stuff. Stuff the average person may not even notice (even the high pitch sound with headphones that people complained of, even back when these were brand new, I have not noticed). I find this laptop to be PERFECT for my needs. I'm not a "gamer" and graphics stuff isn't one of my needs. To sum it up: I got everything I expected and a little more since the things I worried about were not an issue. For a family who is low income or at least on a very tight budget, and just wants a laptop to surf or read, etc. this is it. Also, the seller was wonderful to work with. I ordered this laptop because I already had a ghost image of one that was setup the way I needed. Laptop_exchange is the forth company on Amazon that I ordered it from. The first two sent me something that was close one was a 510...and the third one I ordered they offered me a Latitude 620 with windows 7. At least they asked me before they sent it and I told them that I did not want that. Anyway, be careful and look at the company that you're ordering this from. One person on another review was concerned about the Windows XP license. These laptops come with an OEM license from Dell that is forever connected to the hard ware that it came with. As a matter of fact if you have the correct DELL CD with the Windows XP OS on it. It will read the CD-Key from the hardware itself and you don't have to key it in. You can activate the XP Code on the laptop by following the instructions at: [...] The first time that I did this I got it wrong the first time so be careful. Make sure to read step 11 and which tells you to redo step 6 and 7 if you're using either an OEM or VLK license which the key that came with the laptop is OEM. When I've done step 6 and 7 the second time I've had to choose the option to activate windows now and that worked fine. Read more

I ordered a Dell Latitude D610, Centrino Pentium-M 1.86GHz, 1GB Ram, 40GB HDD, DVD/CDRW, XP Pro,& Wifi from Laptop_exchange... I received a Dell Latitude D600, Intel(R) Pentium(R)-M 1.69GHz, 1GB Ram, 30GB HDD(a 20GB and a 10GB partition), DVD/CDRW, XP Pro,& Wifi. The cover has some dings and scratches and the speaker crackles like a telephone in a plastic bag. Honestly the system operates and runs fine, the keyboard and all its functions work. The main reason They get 1 star is because the sent me a different model# with different specs from what I ordered. As stated, this was a fantastic deal. I was a little skeptical of buying a refurbished laptop, had tried to buy 2 others elsewhere, both had pixels burned out in them. I was amazed at the quality of this one, not a scratch on it. It took a week in shipping from the west coast to the east coast, but the battery was still at 72% when it arrived and I opened it. It looks great, performs great, and Id buy this one again. The seller was very easy to work with, no problem with communication whatsoever.
