If it came stock with XP stay with XP not Windows 7
Works like a charm none of the lag you get when sellers do a upgrade of the OS making it look better on paper .. If the machine was made to run windows XP then by all means stay with XP . If you buy a XP built machine and cram Windows 7 into it your computer will slow to a snails pace and you will suffer unless you upgrade the Ram Read more

Otherwise it's nice but limited
It came with outdated and unsupported xp pro system installed.Windows7- 8.1 would have been more up to date and supported by windows and microsoft.Otherwise it's nice but limited.Get the 4GB memory card upgrade,Replace the 80GB HDD with the 500GB Use the supplied system reinstall disc to load them Then get the old windows 8 (2 disc set) upgrade which you can use all the way to windows 10.8 & 8.1 take about 2hrs each to install. 10 seems like or may actually take twice as long to install.The total maxed out upgades { whole nine yards} cost me $ 100.00 give or take a few bucks.I'm no IT guy,not even close and easily did all this stuff myself and express installation options for the most part.Later used setup bios to deactivate some unused stuff and add or enable other features,then saved changes on exiting bios.
