This replaced a fancier faucet that nobody had ever heard of that was basically unfixable. I purchased my Delta Foundations Centerset Chrome Bathroom Faucet on the recommend of my plumber who stopped by. Well, he got busy and kept me waiting too long so I got out the flashlight and crawled under the sink. Installation was a piece of cake!!! Even for an old guy who gets down good but needs a crane (feels like) to get back up with. Highly recommended for about as simple, lasting, and easily replaceable popular brand item for your dilemma!! Read more

You get what you pay for

The faucet works as it should, but I will probably end up replacing it. The range of motion where water actually flows is small compared to the overall range. That means that you need to lift the handle almost all the way up to get it to turn on, and then you have to make tiny movements to adjust it. Not a big deal for the flow rate, since we almost always use it at full, but it makes adjusting the temperature harder, and a small bump can mean it goes from warm to scalding. The faucet body is made partly of metal and partly of plastic. It all feels cheap, which it was. I expect plastic in the inner workings, but not the outer body. The mounting screw posts were short for my installation. We have a custom cabinet that has a 3/4" wood top under the countertop, and that required longer screw posts. Fortunately they were easy to replace. I would not expect that to be an issue for most installations, but now you know in case your cabinet is like mine. Read more
