Love this skillet. Hated to pay that much but it should last a long time. Does not stick. Read more
This pan is excellent! Non stick, easy to clean, nice finish, on the stove top and in the oven it has not failed to perform as a high quality cooling pan should. Read more
I decided to try this Deluxe ceramic hybrid nonstick deep sauté pan and so far it’s working out pretty well. I do have some Hexclad pans, so I’m going to try to compare these in a non-scientific but hopefully somewhat objective sort of way. The pan came in a very sturdy and rigid black box, nicely packaged in polypropylene bags. Off the bat that made it very similar to Hexclad. It also contained a lid and some instructions on care and use. Comparing side by side with the HC that I have (which is not the same type of pan, as I have the frying pan), on the whole they have similar but not identical features. The HC lid has a thicker metal lip around the lid. This is interesting because I often have water seeping into the space between the metal and the glass that takes forever to come out (and sometimes doesn’t) on the lids I have of various brands. The fact that the Deluxe doesn’t have this gives me some hope that I won’t have a chronic water trapping problem. It seems to drain out slightly better. Not completely, but better. Secondly, the HC has a shiny metal rim, whereas the Deluxe has a brushed metal rim. This is also interesting because it has been difficult to keep the HC spotless and you can tell because it’s shiny. On the Deluxe it’s not as noticeable. The rest of the Deluxe on the handle and outer walls are shiny, the underside is brushed. This is different than the HC which has the same hexagonal pattern going up about 2/3 of the outer walls. I anticipate the Deluxe is going to show more visible discoloration over time due to this difference, as there’s just more shiny parts on the side and the brushed metal on the bottom to keep clean. Third, the patterns are noticeably different, as the HC has the obvious hex pattern, but this almost has what I would describe as a tri-hex cluster pattern. I don’t have any scientific way of measuring the differences due to the pattern, but visually it’s not the same. I also notice that the Deluxe pattern feels more raised, which I’m hoping will keep food from sticking to it in the long run. I don’t scramble eggs in a deep saute pan, but for the HC frying pan I definitely have issues with eggs sticking to it. What I do use the deep sauté for is sauces, sometimes pan-frying some meat with tofu or vegetables, and so far those foods have worked out pretty well. The residue has come off cleanly on the inside and it’s been easy to wash. I don’t use metal utensils on my pans, so I can’t speak to the durability of using those, but using silicone tipped cooking utensils works perfectly fine. I use a gas stove. The pan claims to be PFOA free and a ceramic hybrid. I don’t have any way of testing those claims, but hopefully it is better than a teflon coated pan. Overall I’m pretty happy with this pan. I will update if I feel like the pan’s performance drops prematurely. Read more

The media could not be loaded. the pan I reach for every single day, but it did, and it surprised me in a good way because the first thing I noticed was how evenly it heats without leaving those annoying hot spots that burn half the food and undercook the rest, and that alone makes a huge difference when you’re trying to sear chicken, simmer sauces, or just reheat leftovers without babysitting the stove, and the ceramic layer actually holds up better than I thought because I’ve scraped, stirred, and used it for heavy one-pot meals without seeing the coating peel or fade, plus food really does slide off easily which saves time on cleanup especially after cooking sticky stuff like rice or cheesy pasta since a quick rinse is usually all it takes, and the depth is perfect because it works like a small pot and a wide pan at the same time so you can sauté, shallow-fry, braise, and even make soups without splashing everywhere, and the handles staying cool is something you don’t appreciate until you grab a hot pan by accident, so having handles that stay cool even on high heat is a lifesaver especially when you’re moving it from burner to burner, and the lid actually fits tight enough to trap steam without rattling which helps when you want to simmer gently or keep food warm after turning the heat off, and one of the biggest perks for me is tossing it in the dishwasher when I don’t feel like scrubbing because it comes out clean every time without weird rainbow stains or dull spots, and even though it’s stainless steel on the outside it doesn’t feel too heavy which makes it easy to lift with one hand when draining grease or serving food, and it works on any cooktop so if you ever switch from gas to electric or use induction you won’t have to buy new cookware, plus it’s oven-safe which opens up a lot of options like finishing steaks, baking casseroles, or melting cheese on top of whatever you’re making, and for people who want something that lasts longer just make sure not to crank the heat to max all the time, preheat gradually, and avoid metal utensils because that helps the coating stay smooth way longer, and after using it for different meals from morning eggs to late-night stir-fries I can honestly say it holds up extremely well and feels reliable without needing special care, and even though I’m rough with cookware sometimes this one keeps performing without warping or staining which tells me it’s built solid, so if you want something that can handle daily cooking without feeling cheap or wearing out fast this won’t disapoint and you’ll probably end up using it way more than you expected.
