I haven't yet put the filter to use as it is for my Keurig B150 which is still in its box, but my experience with inline filters has been very good and I have no reason to expect anything less from this one. With that in mind, my rating is based on two factors: the expected life of the filter, and the fact that Keurig refuses to warranty the machine if it doesn't employ one. Since this filter will satisfy Keurig I award it four stars on that point. The replacement schedule of six months is fairly standard for a cartridge filter and that also nets it four stars. I can't possibly give it five stars without taste-testing the water that has passed through it to see if the chlorine taste is removed, a very important function in my judgment seeing as how I passionately dislike chlorine-flavored coffee. I could say the same thing about my home-brewed beer, but that is a discussion for another review. My job keeps me away from the house as I work and live on the road, but when the time comes that I can finally settle down and start using my commercial Keurig I will be able to review both the filter and the coffee maker in a more meaningful manner.
