Much better than expected! I had ugly brown stains on my front teeth of all places, due to some old dental work that was wearing out and getting prone to staining easily. I tried various methods to remove the stains but nothing worked as well as this, except when I had the stains removed from my dentist during a cleaning. But that was only twice a year, unless I wanted to pay a bunch of money and have it done more often, and it also depended on the hygienist if they even did a good job or not. I stumbled upon these stain erasers on Amazon. I've seen them before, but didn't really even know what they did. I read that they can remove stains and whiten your teeth. So I gave them a shot, since the price was right, and you don't have to bother with whitening chemicals/strips, etc that cost a lot and cause sensitivity, and don't even remove stains very well. They are similar to a pencil eraser. A hard gritty rubber that you just rub on your teeth to whiten them or remove stains. And they do just that! Within a couple minutes of rubbing on your teeth. your teeth get whiter and stains disappear before your eyes. I'm blown away that they are so simple and cheap and effective. They do eventually wear out, and you will see the black grit from the eraser on your teeth. But all you have to do is rinse it off, or lightly brush it off. I'm finally not embarrassed to smile! I'm so thankful I found this remedy for stains and discoloring. And it's saving me tons of money right now because my dentists tell me the only other option is expensive veneers. Read more

The item description says "Material: handle is pp plastic, grinding head is rubber fine sand grinding head" but doesn't clearly state what the grinding head is actually made of. It's definitely not rubber, and seams more like a hard fibrous foam of some kind. The abrasiveness is a slight concern in that one wants a tool to be abrasive enough to remove stains, but NOT so much as to damage the tooth surface, and I can't be sure if these meet that criteria or not, so have concerns about if repeated use could cause dental harm. Black fibers/dust comes off them in use, which obscures the work zone. All in all, they work, but I have concerns that the item listing doesn't clearly address, and they wear quickly while having a few detractions in use. Read more

I tried using this today in place of flossing and it worked okay. It was able to remove some of the tartar that builds up in between my teeth, however the tip on this started wearing down very quickly. These seem like they are only single use, as the rubber type tip is firm but grinds down as you use it. Read more
