Needless to say, these bubs could burn out tomorrow, but so far, so good. For comparison, the bulbs that these replaced are similar: Hizashi brand; E12 base; 40 watt equivalent; 450 lumen, 4 watts energy consumption. Differences are: the Hizashi bulbs are dimmable, and they claim >90 CRI and 35,000 hours service life. 35,000 hours is wildly 'optimistic'. Ours lasted an average of ~6,500 hours. I'll try to remember to update this review with the actual service life of these bulbs. They are on constantly ~12 hours per day. In our case, we have no reason to dim the lights, so it is probably a positive that these are not dimmable -- one less potential point of failure. If the '450 lumens' spec for the Hizashi bulbs is accurate, then these are every bit of their 500 lumens rating. They are significantly brighter than the existing bulbs -- those that were still working properly (others had dimmed to maybe half brightness). One note -- the color temp seems a bit cooler/higher than 2,700*K. Of course that's according to my calibrated eyeballs, I could be wrong. Read more
